Not sure why anyone would have such vitriol towards Chad. He's a fun guy who absolutely got with the Patriot Way and gave it his best shot. Even restructured his deal so he could give it another go.

He was a disappointment, but I agree completely. Was never a distraction and from all I've heard was a good teammate. I wish him all the best, and just copped his jersey at a discounted $25 :)

IMO He restructured his deal because of 2 things...

1) He wanted to remain a team member of an AFC Championship Squad and a decent chance to grab a ring which he almost got last year without much contribution.

2) He knew it was likely that no other team would want him this season, there was not going to be a standing line for his services,it was take a pay reduction or be unemployed...he is not stupid.

Astounded by some of the reactions toward Ocho. The guy tried he simply wasn't up to it at this stage of his career. Good luck to him in his future endeavors.

Sad to see that Ochocinco couldn't make it with the Pats. He had the physical tools, but not the mental capacity. I was impressed by his work ethic (from Bengals hardknocks) and he seemed like a really genuine guy ... always entertaining. He praised the Patriots fans on twitter for always supporting him.

I wish him good luck and hope that he doesn't come back to bite us. Even on my early 53 man roster projection I didn't have him making the team anyway! They cut him early and allow him to hook on with another team now.

He belongs in LA ... that puts him closest to Hollywood which is where he needs to be next.

I had always wanted to see ocho and brady playing for the pats, i thought it would have been a great combination. Ive got nothing bad to say about ocho, he wasn't a distraction, he just could never seem to catch on to the style of play here. Its to bad it didn't work out. I'm waiting for Jabba the Gut try to sign him as a target for Lil' Marky.

Couldn't even learn the playbook...SEE YA

About dam time this joke was gone

If true, I wonder if his former QB, now in Oakland, would want a reunion.

I highly doubt it. In 2009 and 2010, Carson had grown tired of his antics.

Well, there is a roster spot recently vacated in the IFL from his buddy, that the other Hollywood washed up diva T.O. Left open.

Actually he would work well with T-Bone ... both of them like to wing it.

Buh bye Ochostinko, we hardly knew ye.
PS, he was physically done before he even got here. I am so tired of hearing tards say he "had the physical tools" but couldn't grasp the playbook. In short, he did not have the tools. He was done for his last 2 years in Cincy before we stupidly took him off the scrap heap.

Ouch......

"Basketball Wives" star Evelyn Lozada and NFL fiancé Chad Ochocinco are now personae non grata at luxurious Miami hotels, TMZ has learned ... since several establishments have rejected the couple's request to tie the knot at their fancy digs because they don't want glasses and fists flying.

I'm just not sold on Addai.

Tim Hightower, I would have loved if they signed him instead.

If we keep Bolden, Vereen and Ridley, it's a veteran in reserve who can pass block, receive and run, so I think that's valuable to go with raw talent that's not proven.

If we don't think those guys can produce, we need to go out and get an every down back.

I wonder if the Ravens will kick the tires...

What more is there to say. I only wished he could have helped the team.

Though I would say it's respectful of BB to release him this early so he can pick up with another team and get maximum training camp time to learn the plays.

I love how the Ocho whores are spinning his perceived positives right to the bitter end.

"He tried hard" LOL

The Pats gave him 6 million dollars.

I wish Chad all the best. the worry was that he could be a distraction, in spite of being a uy who was an all pro at different points he never said a peep about being (essentially) benched on a team that needed outside WR help.

He did his best IMO it didn't work out, if he had been a PITA, not a good teammate or not worked hard that would be one thing, none of those things applied to him.

Looking back Tedy B had this figured out after game 1 last season and took heat for expressing a correct opinion about Chad in this O.

Where's the guy who said about 10,000 times that 85 was a lock because BB never cut a guy who restructured his contract?

Lmao I was thinking the same thing

What could he say?

He obviously didnt know the plays week to week. With BB, you practice well and show that you know what youre doing and you play on Sunday. He made plenty of money and I disagree that Chad Jackson gave it his all - "tried hard."

He always found time for twitter or some foolish BS drawing attention to himself while he was failing miserably at what was most important.

A lot of us had it figured out and took heat for it.

Some really came to resent him. Others were just sick of hearing about him. I always said he didn't have a malicious bone in his body, but he just couldn't help himself or his team despite being a talented receiver when it came down to it because he was so focused on being the entertainer. He didn't act out here and I figured he never would. He said himself he knew he couldn't or it would be his last shot in the NFL. He cost a 4th and 6th round draft pick and $6M that could have been put to better use including funding a Welker deal... People biatch about Brady or Welker or Branch or whomever not getting it done in February. Well, maybe if they'd had another viable outside the #'s WR on the roster who was worth the investment they made in 85... So please spare me the no harm no hard feelings blather... I wish him no ill. Just instinctively knew he wasn't a system fit.
