The Sequel...

First off I will say I'm grateful this team has an opportunity to just be in the Super Bowl again.

I think we have a good shot of winning this thing and the reason is the offensive line. Unlike the last SB meeting this team doesn't submit to the bull rush anymore. I really do think this will be our greatest strength 2 weeks from now.

Offensively I think we match up well. Aside from their front 4 their LB's are not elite in coverage and I still believe Brady will have his way with his TE's in some form.

This isn't Alex Smith I can't convert a 3rd down here. We're talking about Tom Brady. I guarantee he will complete more than 1 pass to a wr.

Obviously we're going to have to outscore them offensively because unless BB comes up with mastermind defensive scheme they are going to score a lot.

Yay Superbowl 42 replays for two weeks

My thoughts exactly :bricks:

I don't know if I can take the emotional toll of watching Eli Manning escape the sack and Tyree make the catch or Wilfork falling down in 4th and 1. So many missed opportunities

From what I've gathered on here in the past 15 minutes, the Patriots would have been better off losing today.

Nicks is physical. And Cruz vwho the hell is going to match up with them?

This is what sports is all about. As a fan it's really fun to see it come full circle like this. Here is your chance to beat the team that ended perfection. Let's get it on.

Its interesting that BOTH teams won hard fought games because the OTHER gave them the game on special teams.

This will be just as tough as the Ravens game. You would think that the Giants had a better QB than the Ravens, but I don't see Eli, as good as he's playing, will have a better game than Flacco had today.....and we STILL won.

Media talking points for the next two weeks...

Patriots were lucky to win the AFC while the Giants were the better team in their game.

Eli was without Nicks and Bradshaw and beat the Pats in Foxboro

All of the 2007 playoff similarities for the Giants

SB 42 revisited.

The Patriots can't cover all of the Giants weapons.

The Giants will rush 4 and drop 7. Brady will be decapitated by half time.

Eli vs Brady in Peyton's house.

Feel free to add any I may have missed.

They have a chance. That is all we can ask for. It isn't the match up I wanted but its the one we get. Better then no chance at all. One thing is for sure. The 07 Giants had less of a chance of winning that game then the 11 Pats have of winning this one. This is the bonus season.

Stop the pass first, and force mistakes because of coverage; Hold up against the run. That's the emphasis of our defensive gameplan.

Let's remember this year's Giants team lost 4 straight, and 5 of 6. They're very beatable. More on that to come.

LMAO, people need to STOP mentioning this. The giants are not the same team they were when they lost 4 straight and 5 of 6. They are a COMPLETELY different team. They took out a 15-1 team and a 13-3 team, and it wasen't even on their own turfs

We have to play like the Redskins for this game, thats all :p

Well, the Redskins must know something, since they swept the Giants this season.

Manning the Lesser threw 4 picks in two games against the Skins.

F U Asante Samuel.

If only you held on to that interception. Maybe you would have been able to catch it if you didn't miss all that practice during training camp moaning about your contract.

I LOVE IT and can't wait. Who wouldn't want a chance to avenge that loss? I hate the Giants, but I was rooting for them all the way once we won.

Don't worry, I'm sure there will be a new highlight from the Super Bowl that will give us nightmares.

I'm sure Giants fans thought this way in 2008...How can we beat an 18-0 team! Giants arent exactly undefeated.

Pats have too few African-Americans on their squad.
It's a leap year.
Eli is a fetal alcohol syndrome victim.
There's too much corn in Indianapolis.

I hate Eli Manning. And I fear him. Mobile, accurate, strong arm, tough, doesn't get rattled. Brady is going to have to raise his game way above where it was today for us to win.

It's what I was rooting for all day!
