Another rosecolored homer.:( The Ravens and Steelers have put up big yards against the patriots for years. Flacco torched them in that play-off game and Roethlisberger OWNS BRADY.

Face it homerboy the Patriots have no chance and their play-off record proves it.

In the playoff game two years ago, Flacco threw for 34 yards. Literally, 34 yards. That's more like Bic lightered than torched.

BTW, Roethlisberger has beaten Brady twice in his career. Once in 2004 when Law went out and this year. Roethlisberger has never beaten Brady in the playoffs.

One is fine, sarcasm is fun, but now you're just trolling.

In the 2009 playoff game Flacco was 4-10 for 34 yds and a pick.

Has to be sarcasm...

What's your point?

What's your point?

Either you are being sarcastic or ignorant. For your sake, I hope it is the former.

EDIT: I didn't read your previous posts. Clearly sarcasm. I guess I should actually read the threads before I see one post and think I am some kind of genius with a sharp comeback.

define 'in the game' .....

I think the pats had no chance against the steelers.....technically, they had the ball down less than one score in the end, but you're kidding yourself if you thought that was going anywhere. the pats were thoroughly dominated in every aspect of that game.....they had no chance

If I had to define "in the game" I would define it as "having a chance to win" or, if you prefer "having the ball down less than one score in the end" works too.

Wasn't that the game where Ocho dropped a TD pass, where someone (I believe Gronk?) scored, but it wasn't called so we wasted an additional 2-3 minutes to get it in to the end zone and I think we even missed a field goal that game?
Seems to me that we were in that game with a chance to win the entire 2nd half, we just couldn't catch a break.
Brady was 68.6%, 198yds 2TD 0INT in 20 minutes. You think he had no chance to drive the field? It's Tom BRADY. Read my signature sir.

Probably, sorry pink hats. If Brady has an off game we are done.

Lost to the Titans, the Chargers, Seattle and wait for it...Jaguars on national TV. They are a horrible road team.

Cullen Jenkins -- great player, unfortunately, he is not on the Packers. Patriots DL is probably better than GB's, LB's are about a wash. Their secondary obviously is head and shoulders above ours, but we can beat any team including them if we win the turnover battle.

Yeah, they lost him in free agency in the summer. This is why you shouldn't post in the middle of the night...

Yes, winning the turnover battle is obviously key and always gives us a better chance. The problem with that thinking is that Green Bay has a +22 in turnover differential too, and are currently 2nd in the NFL in that category. However, you are right in stating that anything can happen if we forced a couple of turnovers obviously.

I don't think the Pats are anywhere close to being one and done this yr. I was responding to a poster who compared them to Green Bay, and to me those comparisons are off-base. Just an opinion of course.

I would never count out a BB coached team with 2 weeks to prepare, but I do not put our defense on the level of theirs--and that was my response to the poster. Their secondary edge is very important when it comes to stopping Brady, as compared to ours trying to stop Rodgers. Hopefully we can even get to the point of discussing this matchup, and I am wrong about our differences with Green Bay.

Woodson is still a playmaker, but declining in coverage, even since last year. Williams was a pro bowl CB last year who is playing nothing like a pro bowler this year (sound familiar?).

I think you make some good points about the rest of the defensive matchups, but disagree with these statements regarding the secondary:

T.Williams is not playing like a pro-bowler? Well, I actually agree to some level; but he is playing pretty darn good still. Look at his numbers from this yr through 14 games (he missed one game due to injury):

T.Williams 2011---4 INT's, 17 passes defended

(again, playing 2 games less than the 16 of last yr, as these stats are through 14 games played) that pretty much puts him right on the same level as his "pro-bowl" play of last yr

T.Williams 2010---6 INT's, 20 passes defended (with 2 extra games)

I am not seeing much difference. As far as Woodson goes, you may say his skills are not as good etc, but you have to respect his stats and playmaking ability from this yr. His numbers are just as strong as any year he's had in his career: (thru 15 games)

7 INT's and 16 passes defended

Even their #3 CB Sam Shields, still has 4 turnovers with 11 passes defended. That's way better production than even our #1 CB in McCourty...

This debate hardly matters anyway, unless both teams are there at the end. Then we'll have 2 wks to go back and forth.

Yes, the people who believe in them are "pink hats," and those of you who don't are the "real fans." What a shame the Patriots "real fans" are so MISERABLE. However, since you don't believe they can win anyways you won't be complaining if they don't, as who could rightfully b.tch and moan about a team they don't believe in not winning?

BTW-The real "pink hats" are the fairweather fans like you who are only "satisfied" when they win it all, and even then it's only a temporary stay before you start whining and *****ing all over again.

Another fact as that the regular season winner of the matchup has never won again in the playoffs.

Streaks can be broken of course, but this is a fact I like to remind myself when considering the possibility of Pittsburgh.

Ints and PDs don't tell the whole story. Gotta look at what kind of success QBs are having throwing at them. The Packers' top 3 CBs have all regressed in that regard. Somebody on that defense has to be giving up all those passing yards, and the CBs are definitely a part of it.

Great point. The difference with BAL is that they went 8-0 at home, and are currently struggling to go .500 on the road with a win on Sunday.

I'll take our chances at home vs either AFCN foe, I would really prefer not having to play BOTH though.

I agree, I like the match-up against the Steeler more than Baltimore because the Patriots have a tendency to make weak QB's look good, like Flacco, and Baltimores defense concerns me more than Pitt does.

if the pats don't win a playoff game this year..it is really going to hurt brady, belicheck ect. Even if they only win one. They have been HORRIBLE in the playoffs as of late....can't have another one slip away...

Do you honestly think that the Ravens are going to have an issue with playing in Gillette after 2009?

Come on

The ravens problem isn't playing on the road it is letting up against weaker teams and that wouldn't factor in against the Patriots. Baltimore in NE will be a really tough game, however if they get past it i will have much more confidence in them going forward as that will be the best defense they can face this year.
