Re: Seriously Tom Brady int

Saying that he's lost a step or two would be an understatement.

Tom Brady is an above average QB but not much better at this point in his career.

Someone tell me everything's going to be OK...please?!?

It'll be OK as long as they don't start mailing it in à la the Colts.

Once that happens, then we know it's time to throw in the towel.

Tell me again, Why did we draft Vereen and Ridley?

I thought we drafted them because BJGE was...well BJGE. He's a safe bet, he's not a game changer. Ridley and Vereen both have the potential with individual efforts that can change field position in one play. Also Woodhead hasn't been as good this year as last year. Brady can't carry the offense every game.

At the very least why isn't Vereen returning kicks? If he's on the active roster, he should be returning kicks, he was very good in college and the Pats haven't had anyone returning kicks this year that are a threat to take it all the way. McCourty was pretty good last year, haven't seen him much this year, the only time I remember him returning a kick was today. If they don't want to risk McCourty, fine, but why not throw Vereen out there?

kudos to the d after last week, look, the game was 0-0 @ the half. the D needed the offense to put the squeeze on manning, i feel like if we were up 10-0, manning would have crumbled. the d needed a break today, just didnt happen
go ahead jets, book your afc tees. you wont see what hits you next week.

What we need is a freaking legit outside receiver.

Yes we do. What concerns me is BB's ability to evaluate and draft one that can be successful, and not even just an outside, guy. Any guy. We haven't drafted and developed an impact WR of our own since Branch-Givens were in their golden years.

The defense seems to be improving and that counts for something.

As much as Ocho bothers me, where has Branch been the last couple of weeks as well? While he is better, he seems to be a distant ghost of himself. As for Ocho, the times he seems to be wide open, he doesn't get a look (for example on the play where Welker stayed down for a couple minutes Ocho seemed to be extremely wide open at the top of the screen. Brady must have been expecting him to keep running rather that stay put (about 4 yards after the first down).

But the absolute worst thing about the loss will be coming into this site and hearing those people who want to preach doom. One week at a time.

Re: Tell me again, Why did we draft Vereen and Ridley?

We drafted them so that Woodhead will get the pounding down the middle and Faulk will play while one of them is inactive. I thought this was obvious? Don't know why you are asking. All we need is just throw for 2yds and we are ok. Who needs RBs?

Re: Tell me again, Why did we draft Vereen and Ridley?

Why did we draft I-Dowling when literally everyone knew he was injury-prone?
Why did we cut Meriweather/Sanders/Bodden/Levoir when we don't have any better alternatives?

BB's unchecked ego has gone too far and his arrogance doomed the 2011 Patriots even before the season began.

Why?....Did they change our schedule?,I thought NE was playing the Jets next week  :bricks:

Ocho was open a lot today and Brady thrown him some bad balls and Brady has been locking on to welker and Gronk the last few games... but even with that said Brady still got the lead with 1:30 left the defense did it again

Ocho definately showed something today but the chemistry with Brady is 0. They seem to have a completely different understanding of football. Ocho reads one thing and Brady sees another.

Welker, Branch, Gronk, Hernendez, Ocho Cinco..... CANT BEAT MAN COVERAGE

Welker can beat it for little 10 yard catches. Gronk can make 1 outta 3 catches in the red zone.

Dink and Dunk. All teams have to do is get every down 5-10 yards from the LOS and cover man to man. The offense cant do anything and Brady has looked like crap every game this year when that's happened (Bills, Cowboys, Steelers, Giants)

No one on our team can stretch the field and threaten the deep ball. None of them can consistently beat man coverage.

We gave up Brandon Tate for nothing. Literally cut him. He wouldve been the fastest WR on our team.

We passed up Dez Bryant in the draft.

We traded Moss and refused to let him back when he begged to come back.

We simply dont have the talent on offense anymore.

Wow...so much wrong in 1 post.

Welker went over 100 yards, so much for he can't beat man coverage
Ochocinco got open 8 times, Brady missed him every time
Gronkowski had over 100 yards and a TD so he can clearly beat man coverage
Hernandez beats man coverage on a regular basis
I didn't even see Branch today :bricks:

Re: Welker, Branch, Gronk, Hernendez, Ocho Cinco..... CANT BEAT MAN COVERAGE

Yeah.

It's not like we don't have a top 3 QB of all time, the best slot receiver in the league, and two of the best TE's in the league on this team.

Dumbass.

Anyone think Leigh Bodden might have been a help on some of the Giants receivers today?

Also Big TEs are being blueprinted to beat the Pats down the middle - Miller last week and now this guy

Thanks for showing off your cluelessness. Meriweather hasn't played a snap on defense in three weeks. Sanders is a backup in Atlanta. Nobody else in the league wants Bodden or LeVoir right now.

Score: .5/4 (with a half point for Sanders at least being active for another team)

The defense held up very well, besides the loosing drive, which ended how it did just because of an idiot penalty....I can't understand how clueless anybody can be to committ such a penalty in the last minute of a game (btw, was the ball catchable?). BB usually teaches smart football...it seems that this aspect has completely gone away this year...

our offense was horrible for almost the whole game; we're regressing at an impressive pace. why did we go no huddle on the last drive, especially with enough time on the clock and with 1st&10 on the Giants 20y line?
I still think we beat the jets next week and secure the division, but the gap between Pats, Jets & Bills has closed dramatically.

Re: Tell me again, Why did we draft Vereen and Ridley?

I think Bill is too relaxed towards keeping his job. Of course he is not getting fired, nor he shouldn't, but he shouldn't count on it .

He makes moves only a man who has nothing to lose would make.
You don't draft players in second and third rounds to simply not use them.
You don't cut the most talented players just because they're not giving 100% in half a season.

A coach who had his owner on him questioning his every moves wouldnt manage a team like this.

I guess these are the disavantages of having one of the best coaches of all time...

Re: Welker, Branch, Gronk, Hernendez, Ocho Cinco..... CANT BEAT MAN COVERAGE

How different would the game have been if Brady hit Ocho ( who totally beat his man coverage) for that wide open td?
