Is Josh Miller still in the league?

Always liked him,some hated him

Some people need to have a beer, sit down in the recliner and take a deep breath. I don't like the injuries in this game either, but it happens and it could have been far worse.

Re: DB M*A*S*H unit

This is still better than last year when Bodden was out for the year and we were depending on Wilhite, Butler, Meriweather and Sanders.

I wouldn't mind being able to be depending on Meriweather and Sanders right about now....

you gotta stop with the dramatics. it's incredibly annoying. Injuries happen. He'll be back next week or the next. you need to relax a bit.

no no no

Knee injuries are much more ALARMING than other bumps and bruises

dude knee injuries are # 1 on the worry list for any player and knowledgeable fan of the game.:bricks:

my realistic perspective plz do not disguise it w/ the word "dramatics". You don't get it dude. A Red Flag never goes up for you when you hear about a knee injury? You gotta get that sense fixed:eek:

Mesko's a great punter, but he's a punter. I hope he's healthy, but if not, we pick up another one. Can't see Brady having a huge need for the best punter in football.

Much more concerned about Hernandez and Dowling, our D backfield is looking rough.

Dowling may be bigger than hernandez just by looking at secondary..Brady can lose a weapon for a few games..not the D

I would say a guy like Zoltan is still pretty important. You can definitely win/lose games on special teams.

Rapoport tweeting that it looked like Dowling wasn't badly injured. Hernandez was talking to the media and it doesn't seem to be serious. Looks like we may have escaped devastating injuries.

yeah...but isn't fun to run around like a chicken with its head cut off screaming doom and gloom? Without Henanadez and Dowling the Pats lose this game by fifteen touchdowns and next week...well...why even play the game...just forfeit...that's my idea of a great fan...

SMH @ the people saying a Punted isn't a big deal. It will be if or when we lose a game from a bad punt. Do people not remember the Balt OT game from last year?

what kind of big deal?

you mean if the Pats lose ONE game this season due to a special teams miscue that's A BIG DEAL??

or are you saying if that happens then the Pats lose all their remaining games and miss the playoffs...because they'll never find a player/punter on a practice squad or unemployed?

an injury to a punter is no bigger deal than an injury to any other starter...you find a replacement and move on...if you continue to lose games the problem was never the punter anyway...

ok how about just growing up and dealing with reality instead of throwing a tantrum over things beyond your control?

Mrs. Mass...permit me to explain something you may not know...this site has 20,000 plus members...gamedays, in the game thread, the split of Chicken Littles to homers is about 50/50. I'm a homer...I prefer to look at things optimistically...others are "sky is falling!!!!!!" jittery as if anything but complete optimum performance by a completely intact roster is the ONLY important thing in the game.

I can see you're a homer....that's why they call it PATS FANS

Dan Gronkowksi next week - 8 receptions 110 yards 1 TD

Hernandez's injury appeared to happen when he got hit on the side if his knees during a tackle. It's most likely a deep bruise. He played in two more plays after the hit, including a 5 yard reception, but he was moving pretty slow by then.

The injury that worries me right now is Arrington. His head bent the wrong way on this helmet-to-helmet hit. I'd bet he has a concussion.

Put a cast on Arrington's head and throw him back in there..

Suck it up big guy

We all obviously hope that Hernandez's injury is minor. But if the Pats sit him for a week or two maybe we will the new law firm of Gronkowski, Gronkowski (Senior Partners) and Solder (Junior Partner). This would be a firm dedicated to down and dirty smashmouth play. Might be fun to see.

Very few injuries last week on grass and a ton of injuries yesterday on the green asphalt of Gillette. Hmmm...

Miller is doing afternoon sports-talk radio in Pittsburgh (and doing a pretty good job at this current gig). He recently said that he still has the will to play, but is not sure about his conditioning (mentioned in regards to a Steeler's punter being nicked up during camp)
