OT: Rex Ryan and Jets celebrate backing into playoffs

The Jets have put their best foot forward and made the playoffs because Jacksonville didn't have any legs left. Sexy Rexy McChins almost put his foot in it with the "soon to be Superbowl champs".

Playoffs are playoffs nonetheless.

He's happy his team's in the playoffs. I don't see the problem.

If we're the 1st seed and their the 6th seed then I think #1 plays the winner of #4/#5. Let me know if I'm wrong. We'd have to see them in the AFCC game
No IF, we are the 1 and they are the 6.
If they beat the 3 on the road in week 1 they come to Foxboro. If the 3 wins the winner of the 4/5 matchup comes to Foxboro.
We will be seeing the winner of the Baltimore at Indy or Jax game/

Ya know, I really like him - - he does have an electric personality and is genuinely funny (sometimes on purpose). Is he head coaching material for the long-term in the NFL? No.

But he will be a GREAT TV network commentator in the not to distant future. I don't say that sarcastically. He will be very successful on the pregame and postgames shows - - he may even be the future John Madden.

I don't think he wins another game until next season. So he should be happy now. I think they rest their starters against Buffalo and lose to KC in the first round.

Count me in.... Love Rex Ryan the "Personality", not sold on him as a coach...

Rex is just making up for last season when he put his foot in his mouth by not knowing his team's playoff position. :bricks:

Whose foot? :D

I just dont see it.
I don't know how anyone can like the personality of a guy who makes it his lot in life to go around telling people how great he is going to be when he never has, and apparently never will be as good as he is telling people he is.
Class A ********* in my book.

Also not sure what Network will employ someone who informs the public that he wants to watch 3 guys bang his wife simulaneously by different methods.
TV Networks have been very hesitant to put people on the air with those kinds of skeltons.

I guess I'm dating myself, but this is the slogan...

The thrill of victory

The agony of De Feet.

For Rex, actually, it's the thrill of De Feet.

Jet's are staying in Chicago - Rex said it's time for a pajama party.

Let's all hope for the players' sake that the pajamas are "Footie" pajamas.

I don't see it either. I can't think of one discussion panel he'd fit in with. He's too much of a misfit that lacks that switch in one's head that tells them when to shut up. His ego is too big to allow a sincere compliment towards another coach or team. He's too emotionally unstable to handle the realization that he is a failure as a head coach. It'll crush him. He'll spend the rest of his life like Herm Edwards...trying to find someone that will tell him, "good job, it wasn't your fault". Rex Ryan is a square peg living in a world of round holes.

That's not fair, Herm is a quality person.

There have been worse, Andy. Michael Irvin says hello from his seat at the desk of the NFL network.

The Jets are back in the playoffs and are as dangerous anybody on the board in one game. Let's hope Matt and Romeo and Charlie take care of business by ousting these clowns. It's annoying the way the Jets stumble around in the second half of the season with all these bizarre distractions. It was a drag hoping Norv and his team of loafers would step up against Cincinnati. This all just plain sucks. I guess I just hate the whole Jets spotlight hogging crap while the Patriots are evolving into a once-again great team now and for the future.
