Re: Eisen calls out Marshall Faulk regarding Belichick

The players have the NFLN job because they're celebrities, NOT because they're astute analysts of the game, talent evaluators and the business of the NFL.

Re: Eisen calls out Marshall Faulk regarding Belichick

Irving, Faulk, Sanders, etc. all have their egos built on the star system. Their belief is that champions should be those teams with the most super star talent. It is a simplistic, ego-driven, celebrity based model. Their success in life is dependent on it, as is their sense of personal superiority.

BB will always be hated by those folks, because he represent the opposite of what they stand for.

Spoken for truth

Re: Eisen calls out Marshall Faulk regarding Belichick

From what I have seen Faulk has nowhere near as much animosity towards the Pats as he used to have. I don't watch all that much television, but from what I have seen Faulk seems to be fairly even keeled this year.

I think Eisen's comment was directed more to past history than anything else. From what I have seen Faulk appears to be far more neutral in regards to the Patriots than either Michael Irvin or Jamie Dukes this season.

Re: Eisen calls out Marshall Faulk regarding Belichick

I dont understand hate and how people react to it sometimes...
so Faulk hates the Pats(and no one will argue about that), so what? do you guys expect anyone in the world to love the Pats?
Brady said he hates the Jets, good for him,why do i care?

Its just one more person opinion, thats it.

"do you think everybody should love the pats"

No of course not, but as a journalist or media person you should not be biased or have an agenda, or let past experiences blur your judgements. What faulk should do then is just say "you know rich I Friggin hate the patriots...ever since they kicked my a** in 2001 I can't even look at their logo without sh*ttting my pants....I'm going to just excuse myself from this discussion.....instead he looks like a screaming a-hole!

Re: Eisen calls out Marshall Faulk regarding Belichick

From the outside, I watch a lot of the NFL Network, and I think Faulk's entire problem is with your coach, not the players, especially not the players on offense. He has talked up Tom and the NE Offense up a lot, his biggest complaints have always been what he calls the "holding" that went on by the NE Defense in that Super Bowl, and of coarse, he will roll his eyes about BB being one of the greatest coaches only because of the "black cloud" that did exist over the head of the organization when the "taping" came out and the "holding" as he calls it. Sure he's bitter, heck, You guys should have spent the last 25 years listening to Madden Call a Steelers game, or this Sunday, enjoy Chris Collinsworth calling a Steelers game, Wanna bet Chris wears a Purple Tie? He always wears the color of the team we are playing whenever he calls a Steelers game. Write it Down.

But Faulk is actually a really good guy to listen to. I like Marshall, for what he is, one of the greatest backs to every play. He has pretty good insight into the offensive side of the ball and can break down a defense from a running game perspective. He's OK.

He is clearly still bitter over not having that 2nd ring though. That is very obvious.

Irving and Deon are both self serving jackholes and always have been.

Oh, one more thing...Eisen calls Marshal out a lot in regards to BB, in fact, I am pretty sure Eisen does it on purpose, says stuff just to get under Marshall's skin.

It happens quite often. He tries to push Faulk's buttons to get him to go on one of his "anti-BB Superbowl" rants. Its funny when it happens to. Marshall the competitive football player comes out. Great stuff.

Re: Eisen calls out Marshall Faulk regarding Belichick

Sanders is biased against the Pats yet I find him entertaining. Faulk is just STUPID and embarrASSed because the Pats witchslapped him.

Re: Eisen calls out Marshall Faulk regarding Belichick

When talking about the current QBs it's pretty blalantly obvious that they give favor to their "brothers". Also during last night's pregame we heard Joe Theisman argue that the MVP should be between Rivers and Brady. Of course Deion couldn't wait to chime in on Vick's behalf.

You sound rediculous. How many "brothers" are there in the league playing QB at a mvp level? So what Deion mentioned Vick?

Most reasonable people have vick in their top 3 for the mvp race as of now. Dude is playing very well right now and has put the eagles on his back for multiple games this season.

Re: Eisen calls out Marshall Faulk regarding Belichick

We see analysts in news shows all the time, some of them are right wing, some of them are left wing, they give thier opinion and treated such, its an opinion, not hard news.

why should be a difference in sports?

If you don't like fox news you can tune msnbc. If you don't like the NFL network analysts...

How do you end that sentence?

You watch ESPN. And if you don't like either you turn down the sound, put music on, and watch highlights.

In predicting a game, if it's one that is supposed to be close, it's a given that Dukes, Schlereth, Tom Jackson and Faulk will pick against the Patriots...
We know why wrt Faulk and TJ but I wonder what BB or the Pats did to get under Schlereth or Dukes' skin.

Both have expressed hard feelings regarding Spygate. And Schlereth is particularly sensitive when confronted with the Broncos' "cheating" on the salary cap and losing draft choice(s) due to it. He's a ****.

Were you watching Mr. (Marshall) Faulk ?

I really can't remember reading any post, ( was away a couple days before the Jets game) regarding Marshall Faulk' s opinion. Ok , he has the right to say that the Jets are the best team and that they would win. But when I heard him clearly say, between BB and Ryan, there was no doubt who he'd play for ! Ryan here I nearly spilled my coffee. What's with Faulk ? When will he stop hating ? When is he going to get over that SB loss and get on with his life ? After that clear statement of hatred for BB and the Patriots I have decided to hate the guy. Has he ever picked the Pats to win ? One thing I am going to bet is he either choked on his dinner Monday night or got stomach ulcer at the end of the game. The guy is crazy and a hater. Did you watch the game Mr. Faulk ?

re: Were you watching Mr. (Marshall) Faulk ?

Faulk, Tom Jackson and Chris Carter.. haters all, and one might think that they would stop acting and looking like complete buttholes on national TV.. but their hate of BB supercedes all reason.

Faulk - Can't get over SB 36

Jackson - Belichick told him to **** himself after SB 38, and with good reason

Carter - Can't believe Belichick traded his boy Moss even though it's proven to be the right move. Plus just an overall moron

Frankly I'm glad those 3 hate us.

I'm sure Faulk will have lots of opinions this week about how his old coach, Mike Martz, is going to beat the Pats in revenge of SB 36.

re: Were you watching Mr. (Marshall) Faulk ?

I don't hate Tom Jackson, sometimes I like to hear him, the only knock on him is the confessed Manning love he has, I'm tired of hearing him say "number 18 this, number 18 that"...

The best thing Faulk said was about Jabba helping Gholston improve!

Gholston has 16 solo tackles and 0 sacks in the 26 games he has played under him!

I am sure even Rex knows that he can't improve VG!

So Faulk, think about what you are saying you douche!

Mr. Faulk is Kevin

Marshall Faulk is someone else.
