If this thread has proven anything, it's that most Pats fans are still extremely sensitive about Spygate.

I guess I am insofar as I believe it was in part responsible for the Pats SB loss to the Giants.

Do you think the suspect timekeeping at the end of SB42 was due to the league stepping in to make sure the "Spygate" team didn't win the SB?

Your not going to use the they were distracted argument, are you?

I see this as a positive for the Patriots.

1. It lends creadence to the statement "everyone does it." Or at least more than one team.

2. It proves that illegal taping has only marginal value and can still end in a loss.

If it is, they did a good job of keeping that under wraps. Very few people actually know about that. Hell, I was as tanked as I have ever been in my life and even I was openly questioning why the clock wasn't moving.

1. No. In this example, it doesn't since the guy who did it worked in the video dept of the Patriots during signal taping days. Add the Head Coach. It would only lead to "everyone does it who used to work for the Patriots."

2. You expect too much of people if you think they will come to that conclusion.

Guess Josh didn't learn much of anything while he was here after all.

This is going to suck.

This is going to suck for Josh. He was on this ice before this. What an idiot.

don't forget, when the pats were fined for taping from the sideline, scarnecchia and mangini were jets. espn will try to cover for the jets, but everyone around me will know for sure.

Jeez and my first thought was I bet this goes away quickly because it's not us.

It will go away quickly. If this story broke next Saturday and not today then I'd be concerned about the Patriots having to deal with mediots and their moronic agendas heading into the Jets game. We've got two weekends worth of games before the Pats play again.
BB and Co. always expect stupid questions coming out of NY so nothing thrown their way this coming mediot Wednesday will surprise or bother them. ;)

Second phase of the McDaniels Protocol "Trojan Horse" is now in full effect.

Denver will be 10 years behind by the time they figure it all out. BB's most evil plan to date.

interesting

there might be a bright side to this, it may give more time to the story everyone should have heard but didn't

That doesn't really matter since Scar worked for the Patriots in the prior years. He worked for the Patriots during the signal taping years (albeit while in college). The fine covered years prior. What's with Steve Scarnecchia? Why would he attempt to tape a walk-through after all the business about the Rams walkthrough? Nice job getting yourself banned from the NFL and soiling your father's name.

meh ................. Meh ................... And meh

iam not. he left the pats after 2004 but espn is conviniently ignoring it. thats what iam trying to point out

.

One comment on PFT sums it up best. Are we supposed to believe that Scarnacchia taped when he was with the Patriots up until 2004, stopped taping when he was employed by the Jets and started taping again when he was working for the Broncos??
The Jets and their front office should think long and hard before saying anything on this matter lest they open Pandora's box. Not that it would happen with the current commissioner.

How can we stop Dustin Keller? I want to see Rex beaten

uh...the league already sanctioned Scarnecchia once, in 2007,as a JET employee...it was swept under the Jetdell rug...NOW, at last, the stench of deliberate lies and criminal conspiracy has opened the nostrils of the public.

But was that for activities while being a Jets employee or previous activities while a Patriots employee?

it was as a Jet employee...filming was HIS responsibility...he had NO SUCH authority as a Pats employee...Goodell sanctioned him, kept it out of the public eye with the help of Mangini and Tannenbaum and the entire Jet organization and NOW that it's finally come to the light of day...it is being MISREPORTED by ESPN(huge shock, I know) and PFT, NFLN and God knows who else is in Goodell's pocket.

You are going to have to do better than that. Wasn't Scarnecchia Matt Estrella before Matt Estrella? You know for a fact he did no taping while in NE? Strange that he would want to be in Colorodo's and the Jets video dept without doing any prior videotaping. Just because he was a Jets employee at the time of sanction doesn't tell you what he was sanctioned for or when the activites occurred. Where did you get your correct reporting from?

iam sure marshall faulk cant wait for tommorow morning to bring up SB 36 and video taping..
