OT: Manning hurt?

He completed 40 passes, threw over 400 yards, 3 TD's, and looked outstanding.

He should get hurt more often. Hell Brady won 3 super bowls with a injured right shoulder.

Something slightly OT whilst we're on the topic of Houston - Mario Williams.

Is anyone truly questioning the pick now?

He's the best DE in the league.

Piss poor day?
Didn't he pass for over 400 yards?!
Got a couple TDs, too.

Manning had an historic day even by his passing standards. It was their defense that was overmatched by a Texan team designed to gouge the Colts smallish but fast line and linemen on the ground. Houston is a beast of a team - big fast young guys all over the place and just about every one of them is 1st or 2nd rounder. The Texans are the next SD Chargers of 2005-2006. Whether they can win in the playoffs is the biggest question. I think they win that division going away if they stay healthy.

The Pats will have trouble with the Colts because the blocking in the ground game just isn't there although it's better with Gronk and Crumpler at tight end.

..Otherwise it would just not be the same rivalry.

Not for me. Every team has injuries. If Ty Warren backup is on the verge of sacking Peyton Manning's backup so Peyton Manning's backup throws an interception to Leigh Bodden's backup who gets a good block by Brandon McGowan's backup allowing Leigh Bodden's backup to score the winning TD. I will celebrate just as much as if it was Peyton himself who threw it.

I dunno 'bout that. The '06 Chargers were a beast. 14-2 and heavy favorites to win it all.

... yeah, all up until the Troy Brown strip. My fave Pats game of all time. Losing 14-3 and not an ice cube's chance in Hell, and then one epic moment after the next.

Anyway, lets not jump the gun with Houston playing that role yet.

If he is hurt and if it is limiting him at all in practice, then the Colts are cheating by not having him on the injury report.

When you start out with "Not for me," are you telling us that your backup wrote this post?

That rule changed yesterday

Indeed. If he isn't limited, and he can play, I believe he doesn't have to be listed on the injury report. Otherwise, every single player would be on every team report each week due to a variety of limps, bruises and cuts.

Manning might be better off hurt ... with that line they have he could end up with no more career.

Right. I think the league changed the rule to something like full participation in practise, limited participation and did not practise. Makes more sense than vague listings of affected body areas.

Manning...face
