Hey guys, good as this is for the Jets, I'm always sorry to see a player go down with injury, especially in the preseason.

That said, the Pats had to know this was a possibility - so why let Fred Bennett pass through waivers without a claim? Pats would have had priority over the Chargers, no?

Hey guys, good as this is for the Jets, I'm always sorry to see a player go down with injury, especially in the preseason.

That said, the Pats had to know this was a possibility - so why let Fred Bennett pass through waivers without a claim? Pats would have had priority over the Chargers, no?

We have no lack of young CBs, probably looking for experience.

I would like to point out that so far in the 2010 NFL season the three time champion New England Patriots are at this point UNDEFEATED! That's right you heard me they are U-N-D-E-F-E-A-T-E-D!

I will not, nor should any fan, even begin to ponder rebuilding unless the team is mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. Yet you bring up rebuilding before the preseason ends.

I fully plan to watch the New England Patriots prevail in Dallas this February.

The dude's got some problems. Just mentioning the fact that it might do us good to lower our expectations and just enjoy watching the youth take over was enough to make him go AWAL. I can't imagine how he feels about people who are completely giving up hope this season.

We're screwed, plain and simple. This team cannot win it all this season. It's even a question of whether we'll make the playoffs. Yes our offense has great potential with our RB's healthy, our new tight ends etc, but the defense is just too young and too unreliable and its a huge strain on the team.

The secondary is bound to be lost unless Meriweather can finally step it up as a leader back there. No pass rush...it'll be a nightmare. Its just the truth and if there are people out there who seriously think this defense will have a good year I'd have to call them insane or just stupid.

Butler and McCourty cannot and will not go right.

the next few days should be interesting as far as sifting through the DB cuts league wide...I'd expect at least one vet signing...

Ppl bailing on the season can't be serious. So much stuff happens in a season, anything can still happen. Cheer up! (I also thought about SF super bowl secondary of 81-82!)

What about Shawn Springs? He knows the system and played pretty well last year. Speed dial? Or did he get sideways w BB for not providing the right veteran leadership?

We're still a long way from the Earthwind Moreland days....Thank God we picked McCourty in R1.

I hear is little brother Airsea Moreland is available... seriously he was a 99% talent-free product, but had one of the coolest names in Patriot history. I kept wanting him to be good.

With all this negative energy you guys are sending out, its going to be tough. I only got so much positivity to go around and I had to use a lot of it to get welker back while others had him out until week 10..oh well, I say this is a chance for players who might not have gotten a real chance to step up and prove they can be great. I think that has happend before with a couple players on this team.
