What if Dez Bryant slides to twenty-two?

Bryant had an awful pro-day today. He didnt finish off a lot of the drills and looked out of shape.

What if Bryant falls to 22? I think he will keep on falling.

At this point I think we have to hold a private workout with him just to get a proper evaluation. Bring him into Gillette if the workout goes well. Nick Casario should be at both since he was WR coach a couple of years ago and is DPP now.

I would take him at #22....in a heartbeat......

he has 'it' and it is a match made in heaven for someone out to prove the world wrong

Exactly. I saw it in Path to the Draft; he was slipping and sliding and looked like he either didn't know how to some of the drills properly (Casserly's observation) or just lacked focus. I don't care for his attitude.

If he's there at 22, the Pats need to consider him and then let him drop to someone else.

this is a guy who has been away from the game for a season......he would not have been football 'sharp'.....it would happen to anyone.....

simply put, he is more advanced in every way than crabtree.....he would be a steal at 22

This is the NFL, teams have a lot riding on making the right decisions and choices as it pertains to the draft. In some cases, jobs could be on the line. He has know that he'll be under a microscope being a first round prospect.

"Whoever passes up on me, it's over with. I feel like I'm going through the same situation Randy Moss (FSY) did," he added. "That man had issues and teams were passing up on him, and when he got on that field, he killed them. He murdered them. Look at him today: One of the best players in the NFL."

Until he can prove himself on the field, Bryant can only defend himself with his words.

The more I read the latest news concerning Bryant, the more I would like to see him free fall into the twenties of the first round. Because I'll like to see which team honestly will pass on him. I would... But I'm surprised that Dallas would...

4. Oklahoma wide receiver Dez Bryant is slipping down the first round — quickly. The Cowboys’ interest is minimal, and they would love to trade the pick if Bryant were to fall to them. Like the rest of the league, the Cowboys are worried about Bryant’s life skills.

If Bryant is there at 22 they need to pick him. He is a top 10 talent and they may regret it if they pass him up. Anyone recall Randy Moss back in 1998? BB will shape the kid up.

Like AD is shaping up? You can shape dog poop into something that looks like a statue, but it is still dog poop, and it still stinks.

For everyone one head case that turns out okay, there are 20 that go down in flames and take the franchise with it.

This isn't fantasy football, where all that matters is a player's physical abilities. Haven't you heard Kraft and others on one of the main reasons the Pats did so poorly last year?

I don't think Dez Bryant is dog poop. He's a good player that has some off field issues. We need a WR, so lets get the most talented one at 22 on the draft board.

You should probably forget about that dream.

I would hope that we would draft him if he fell that far, He would fill a huge need for us at the moment and would get our passing attack back to the best in the league.

But the most talented wider receiver at 22 may very well be Dez Bryant.

I was interested until I heard him speak. I see no way the guy could understand our playbook unless there's a 3 page remedial version.

yo im Dez you know? Ima Wide recieva you know? Ughhh, I run routs you know? ugh you know...

The real question is what will BB do if Dez Bryant, Odrick, Spiller, Brandon Graham, Kindle and Hughes are all there at 22.
I'd bet money he pulls all stops to trade out for multiple picks with someone who is absolutely in love with one of these players, and if no takers he will happily take the highest rated on his board. (My guess is Bryant is no longer even on the Pats' board).
Who they have as the highest rated is the enigma as none of us have any clue. Many think that on defense, Odrick is the safe choice, both short and long term. On offense, Spiller could be the explosive and versatile WR/Slot/RB/KR/PR the Pats' have never had. With 18-25 touches/game he could be a real threat.
The rest all have their warts which are well known to all of us by now.
Truthfully, if Jermaine Gresham is available I wouldn't be one bit surprised to see BB take him. And you know what? I wouldn't be disappointed as I would instantly know that TE is back in the offense.

It's all fun to speculate, but until the draft comes up to number 22, no one, not even BB knows exactly what will go down. And you can take that to the bank!

That's the REAL question???? What an interesting world you live in!

How in the world could that ever happen?
