Randy Moss... WTF?

The haters that automatically throw him under the bus for having a bad day today are sickening.

No, they aren't. Especially when they see Welker leaving his heart, liver and kidneys on the field week in and week out. Moss is have a pretty disappointing season. He may be hurting bad, but he doesn't seem to have his head right. I mean he's been a great Patriot, but he is only two years removed from being a pariah. To pretend otherwise is also sickening.

it's terrible, and the boos by the fans. It's incredible how much influence the media has in how the public views a player.

The media created Moss' reputation?

^He was coming into the game as the leading WR in the league... thats dissapointing? Okay, whatever you say.

mb6592, i want to ask you, straight up, who you take, Randy Moss or Wes Welker?

He's not on the injury report. The only practice he missed this week was due to lack of effort. Brady is fond of saying everyone is hurting this time of the season. He would know. I bet Welker could tell you a little something about hurting, too.

Zolak is predicting Randy will take the post game podium and accept responsibility for his lousy game and credit his teamtes for winning in spite of him. But he's basically hoping he's right... Randy hasn't said a wrong thing all season. Trouble is he hasn't played well down the stretch again. For whatever reason.

Bill just got asked directly about Moss' performance and the fear of disengaging, and he said there were too many drops and turnovers and that's focus and this is the time every season you need everyone to make plays. I think he's had it and he finally realizes there is a pattern emerging here and it's on that player to figure it out or not. Talked about Welker being a football player and playing hurt and how much he reminds him of another slot receiver we used to have...

There are messages being sent. If you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem. Talk is cheap. Earn your keep. Find a way. Brady and Welker and Faulk and even Glass did...The OL did...A TE did. A defense without it supposedly most talented players on the field because one is in Oakland and another's in KC and some retired and one watched the game with his feet up and another got knocked out of the game twice...

Brady talking about Wes now says heart is what he's got and it's what you need in these situations. Brady says Randy is frustrated with his situation and what he was talking to him about today was fighting through it...Don't go from bad to worse because you're down in the dumps. :ugh:

Tom says we're a grind it out team again, that's apparently what we need to be now so you just do it.

And to be injured is one thing - to show disinterest in going after balls and preventing interceptions is somethings else completely. Again, please stop acting as if those that are questioning Moss are clueless or unPatriotic.

Well, that's it in a nutshell.

that was just bad today. i dont know whats he's deal but he was just laughing and smileing after ever bad play.

and it all most looked like give the ball up on the fumble on purpose,

i guess thats why brady never looked he's way again

i hope they fix it im a big fan of moss

It's almost like there's no real safe time to be here unless we're running the table. How many pages do I have to go back for that? lol

I'm always amazed when I come on the board after a win to find the things that are posted here.

Can we change the name to PatsPessimists.com?

Jesus, it's like clockwork. The "real" Patriots fans come to chastise. Ok, there are no issues with Moss and/or the Patriots play of late. Nothing here to comment on, move along.....

Well....throughout his carreer he's had the reputation of slacking occasionally. He's said it himself a time or two. he seems to be half-assing it right now.

What other conclusion should we arrive at?

Obviously. They didn't win 56-10, they suck.

You know that isn't what he was saying

This win looked really pathetic and we struggled a good bit. I was pumped for the win and there were some definite bright spots but it could have been much worse.

As for Moss

Awful game, I don't think he's disinterested but something is definitely wrong with him

He's not on the injury report.

He's not jumping or extending himself. My guess is an unreported back injury. In a closeup on the sidelines today, he appeared to struggle a bit and grimaced while removing his helmet. It would be just like Belichick to suppress the reporting of a chronic injury to Moss, in the hopes that he could continue to be an effective decoy.

There's another thread in which Panther players are saying ON THE RECORD that Moss shut it down. Did you hear that - Panther players are saying ON THE RECORD that Moss shut it down. "We knew he was going to shut it down," Panthers corner Chris Gamble told me after the game. "That's what we wanted to do him. That's what we did. ... He'd just give up a lot, Slow down, he's not going deep, not trying to run a route. You can tell, his body language."

And some posters are admonishing those of us that are stating the obvious????

Breaking News: Randy Moss is human guys. He has his good days and his bad days just like anybody else does. Obviously today was a bad day & his head was clearly not in the game. But cut him slack. He is still THE RANDY MOSS, one of the greatest players to ever step foot on a football field. He will bounce back.

I've heard this for the last 10 years, guess what, Randy Moss leads all WRs in that time.

No-ones saying he had a good game. I think me and some other posters think your going OTT in slagging Moss off.

I mean cmon man you said he was having a disspointing season and he's in the top 3 statisticly out of the wideouts, and theres been time when he's been wide open and Bradys missed him!

You can't say that isn't what he's saying. Ever since 2007 whenever we don't have a lopsided blowout where Brady hooks up with Moss for 2+ TD's, people rag on the team. If you don't believe me, go back to the game threads from the second half of 07 on. People on this site aren't happy unless they are miserable about somehting.

Today we got a tough, grind it out win against a quality D. We're still one game up in the division, and the rest of our schedule look favorable (the Bills game should be another tough win against a divisional opponent, the Jags seem to suck on the road, and we might not be playing for anything against Houston) Why can't we just enjoy it?

I still think that he is still having problems with his back. If he had a stiff back today and was in a lot of pain I can see where the Panthers might think he wasn't trying.

He had a bad game, there's no denying that, but I'm not going to believe that he "quit" just because the losing team claims it.

Randy was clearly struggling today. Nice of the crowd to show him some support. I am glad his buddy Faulk is backing him up.
