Belichick: Defensive woes mostly correctable

Dear Bill,

Why do you keep telling us about your correctable woes games after games when you have invested a lot of money and resources to improve your defense for the last 2 years?

Seriously, you drafted more defensive players than offensive players. What is the problem, Bill?

Are you sure you know what the hell you and your staffs are doing? Honestly, i don't think you do because you should have less woes and correctable one in your defense. Why is mostly correctable, Bill???

I also know a thing or two about being smart in this forum. You are ONLY smart if you belive in "In BB, we trust" BS. In another word, if you challenge the popular belief about BB's doing, you are called X and Y. It's a load of crap.

Like I pretty much said, and as you've gone on to prove in this very thread, you really don't know a thing about being smart, period.

By all means challenge 'the popular belief', there are plenty who do so eloquently and intelligently (not to mention in understandable English) and, shock horror, they get their opinions heard and respected. You post like a simpleton who believes his team has a divine right to win every game and every championship, and who will launch his toys from his pushchair if, heaven forbid, we lose one. This 'PATS = PAST' stuff - at best it's trolling, at worst it's plain moronic.

So then who would you rather be coaching the patriots right now?

English problems are easily correctable. As you can see, i don't use 'mostly correctable' in my writing.

Do you know why i use PATS = PAST?

Because you like to live in 01,03,and 04 years after years even though you are watching 09 football season.

Do you UNDERSTAND why you are doing that?

Because BB doesn't give you anything new.

Were you here when I was in 07? If you were, you would know how happy i was.

So, you're only happy when the team wins every game? Congratulations, you're going to burn out as a sports fan very quickly.

Sorry, it is BS. TB overthrew the ball 3 times before the end of second quarter.

What happened to hard working and work ethnics and 60 physical training session????

Wow, go ahead and tear all the ligaments in your knee. Then try getting up and down stairs, or kneeling down, or ANYTHING that requires mobility, then come back here and comment on Brady's return being affected by the injury.

I broke my leg 13 years ago, and it still feels funny sometimes. Granted I don't have the medical staff Brady does, but I'm also not being asked to do anything nearly as athletic or precise as he is. If you think 60 practices was more than enough to counteract the injury, you're an idiot.

Belichick is a genius, but he can't do it all. He can't by the GM, head coach, scout, offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, and also coach positions.

This is the problem. The coordinators now working under Belichick are sub-par. O'Brien may get better like McKid did, but Pees is just dead weight.

What's reasonable to you? Perfection? There's a second team trying to win, too, this won't be the last bad game you'll see. But if Belichick doesn't know what he's doing, who should we get? Or are you just whining and reaching for lofty goals without any actual ideas?

You clearly struggle with reading as much as you do writing - would you care to point out exactly where I have displayed that I 'like to live in 01, 03 and 04'? Finding your inane, bitter and spoilt rambling after defeats irritating isn't the sole preserve of homers or those who live in the past, believe it or not.

Because Bill realizes that unlike you most of his young inexperienced defense while still young and lacking experience aren't also totally worthless idiots.

Of course everything is correctible.

Problem is, do we have the players that can get it done against elite offenses?

I don't think we have enough playmakers in our defense. I only see one elite defender (Wilfork), a couple of good ones (Warren, Merriweather), some above average (Mayo, Bodden, McGowan) and the rest average (Green/Wright, Tully, AD, Burgess, Wilhite, etc.) When everyone does their job, we can look really good against average/good teams, but even when everyone does their job against elite teams, sometimes our guys are just not good enough to make the plays. And it really does show against elite passing teams. Our secondary, although better than last year, just has no chance when we do not hurry the QB. How can we correct that? Are we going to all of a sudden become a blitzing team like Pittsburg or the Jets?

So whose fault is that...LOL What do you want, Kraft to do an intervention... Don't hold your breath. He gives Kraft exactly what they bargained for and has for going on a decade now. That it doesn't work for you isn't even on either's radar. Nothing ever works for so called fans like you, little NEM.

Continuously calling him McKid is childish and annoying

McGowan is a very good player not an above average player....He is less flashy than Meriweather but he does his job and I am yet to see him make a mistake..

Keep those posts coming since you obviously want to overtake NE Patriot as the top village idiot.

I'm secretly rooting for you.

It's on the coordinators. Kraft isn't going to intervene, as he shouldn't. In a similar way, Belichick doesn't constantly nitpick/over-rule his coordinators, even though I think think he should start doing that.

What is incorrect about my post? You really think we have elite defenders in our team besides Wilfork? How about you list the players you think are elite, good, above average, and average and I'll discuss that topic.

I don't know what NE Patriot has been posting, but somehow, I think he's hurt your feelings. LOL.

Yeah he does his job and doesn't make mistakes, but does that equate to him being an above average player? How many impact plays has he made for you to say he is a very good player? James Sanders (not starter material IMO) was a prime example of a player who did his job and didn't make any mistakes, does that mean he's a very good player?

Name a current defense with 11 "elite" starters.

We didn't get pressure on Brees. Fine so.... exactly who has got pressure on him this year? How do they average 37 points a game?

mcogwan has been quiet lately, but he forced a fumble at the goalline against the Falcons which completely changed the momentum of the game, recovered a fumble on the opening KO against the ravens which ended up being huge, held Tony G to one catch and has helped shut down pretty much every TE we've faced so far I'd say he's an above average-good player right now

LOL You totally assume he doesn't do what you think he should when in fact he obviously believes he has no reason to. Neither does Kraft. One thing BB and I have in common that has nothing to do with football per se is neither of us suffers fools... He doesn't promote or retain coaches who don't perform up to his own standards. Several left here over the last several seasons because they weren't getting promotions. Most of them are now blissfully failing elsewhere.
