The roughing call can be argued...I guess...but this?

Baltimore pass rusher Terrell Suggs after getting a questionable roughing-the-passer call by referee Ron Winter for brushing against Tom Brady's knee while Suggs was on the ground at New England Sunday. The Ravens spent much of their postgame period with the media biting their tongues so as not to get fined by the league for criticizing Winter's crew after a few ticky-tack calls.

I love how people are totally ignoring how Suggs purposely dove at Brady's knees. He wasn't blocked and there was no reason for him to be falling that way. If it wasn't for Brady dodging him, it wouldn't have been a "brush" and could have been another potential season ending injury. Total BS.

I am so tired of Peter King ... really ... he is so irrelevant ... the NFL has passed him by.

Hey, that is Brady's rule. If it was not invoked for him, for who else they are going to.

And I absolutely cannot believe the number of jerktards all over the Internets who insist that Suggs was shoved. It couldn't be more clear in the replay that he wasn't even nudged towards Brady.

I hate people.

They said that on ESPN tonight too. I re-watched it several times and although Neal's arm did extend it looked like it was all Suggs' momentum - and the reason he only brushed Brady is because Tommy got out of the way; Suggs was aiming dead center for the knee.

As fans, we need to move on. Nothing we say or believe will change how things are perceived by the non pats fans.

The players have, I think Brady even made mention of the hit not being intentional.

Doesn't Peter King live in Boston?
I somehow think that he feels the need to pile on when it comes to us.

Of course he piles it on. I can't stand him and haven't read one of his articles since spygate. I just let that blowhard bother me anymore. :D

Ultimately you are correct, its just not an easy thing to do. Its quite frustrating.

Man, imagine if that was Brett Farve's knee Suggs dove at. Suggs would have been banned from NFL and charged with attempted murder in the first degree.

Peter King is just a like an annoying uncle. Damn stories he comes up with are empty and desperate for attention.

Peter King definitely wasn't on his game today. Although he corrected his mistake later in the day in the power rankings section on his MMQB, he originally claimed that the Ravens would have scored and won the game on their last play if Clayton held onto the ball . Apparently, there must a special rule rule that in the final seconds of the game you can score a TD by completing a pass on the opponent's 9 yard line.

I wish I posted his comments from his orginal article before he changed it.

King has been an assclown since at least '07 when the spy gate story broke. What i found worse was Borges on Sports late night, besides saying the Suggs penalty wasn't justified, he said Brady should be ashamed for turning to the ref. and asking for a flag on such a ticky tack thing.

I have never been a huge fan of King. For the longest time, he was a Patriots homer and I found it quite boring. Almost as boring as his school girl crush on Brett Favre. Eventhough he is more critical of the Pats, I still find him boring. I basically scan his articles for anything remotely interesting, but I can't read his ramblings all the weay through. I guess I don't need to know about his daughter's field hockey team or the latest from Starbucks. But maybe that is just me.

King also is a fan of handshakes
Wow. Did you see that handshake between John Harbaugh and Bill Belichick? Harbaugh belichicked Belichick! Gave him the dead-fish handshake that Belichick has given Eric Mangini and Rex Ryan.
he said the same thing about the rex ryan handshake failing to mention that they talked postgame
and in harbaugh's case he didnt care to mention this. Wonder why he thinks everyone hates BB just because he sees some quick handshake from a coach who has just lost a tight game.

It is so exshausting and tiring to hear all these reporters/beat writers try to make up some drama for NFL. I mean I really could not careless about the drama. If I wanted drama, I would be watching soap opera or TNT. Seriously, does football really need this stupid 'OMG HE DIDN'T STARE AT HIS EYES WITH HEART FELT SMILE WHEN SHAKING OPPOSING COACH'S HAND'? Bimbo with triple D breast implant auditoning for Extra can write that crap.
