I'm typing in my basement! :D

its great to see so many in this thread trying to outdo each other with their femininity....

BJGE will continue to be more effective as long he is playing against fourth stringers and Maroney is playing against first stringers. If Belichick were serious thing of BJGE in a serious role on the team, he would gotten reps against the first string in the preseason as many other backups did. BJGE will be on the squad until September 5th. Depending on the status of Morris, Belichick will decide whether to have BJGE on the inactive roster for a few weeks as an emergency in case of injuries to more running backs. Of course, BJGE wouldn't be needed until there were two more injuries.

not sure if its indecisiveness, but maroney takes too long to get to the line of scrimmage.........he needs to be a one-cut runner and save the dance for when he's past the line of scrimmage......

BLGE will continue to be more effective as long as he gets to the line quicker.....

it will also not take long for him to get hurt again as long as he runs as tall as he does........BJGE gets alot lower

There was nothing false about my claim. And it wasn't used to establish the argument. I wouldn't expect you to understand that.

Sorry, but the house that I live in doesn't have a basement. Nice try though. As for you going off to play golf. Good for you. I'll be cutting and staining the wood for my new entertainment center.

BTW, I don't pass myself off to be a "football insider." I am someone who knows more about football than ignorant people like yourself, but I am always looking for points of view supported by facts and not just the regurgitation of the pundits...

No...No you don't Mr. Obnoxious. You tell people you do. Big difference. And yes. You pound your chest and tell everyone you are a know it all. Points of view!!!! Are you kidding me? You and Lloyd are amazing.

The Cousin gave you facts and quotes and you didn't listen. You have nothing.

I see you got an "A" in woodshop. Good for you kid.

What is your problem!?

MG, Wouldn't it be a fair statement to say that BJGE is also running behind a third string O-Line with way less talent? Isn't that kind of a wash?

I just don't see all the love for Maroney. I agree BJGE is no Corey Dillon but he makes the best of his reps. BJGE starter? I don't think so. But North South is what BB wants.
Seriously I wonder if Maroney needs contacts? If he has to decipher in his mind where he has to run for just a split second I can see that little tip tap. It could be physical. The big blob you are running into is not a hole LM. It is a pile of bodies you should run around, not into. He has not shown skills of a #1 pick.

BJGE runs in a game with all third stringers because that is how Belichick has evaluated him. If he were evaluated higher he would have been given a chance like KOC and Galloway and Pryor and Butler and others.

Some of you guys are really callous by seemingly putting someone down by claiming they are unemployed or have a low wage job. It might surprise you that many of us are unemployed. I am in my last semester of nursing school at the age of 49. I was forced to make the career switch given the rapacity of the corporate world. It's amazing that one poster claimed a higher intellect and a higher wage and assumed that it would automatically qualify him as being a better human being. Interesting....
Personally, I come from the point of view where career people are definitely more inclined to be "paper people;" in other words, they haven't spent adequate time to develop their inner understanding. Career people are definitely less interesting than unemployed people (on the whole--if I could make a generalization.) But in either case, you can't make judgments as to someone's worth based on whether they have a high-paying job or whether they don't even have a job. It's really shallow.

Sir, I applaud you for your efforts and your career change. It takes guts and you did it. Bravo. Good luck in your endeavor. This is a more important read than any discussion here.
My issue with some of these professional posters is that they hide behind the fact they can take shots at people when they are clearly not as informed as the say they are. They are pretenders. This is supposed to be fun and interesting, not a personal attack.
I try to stick up for anyone who gets mauled by these pseudo intellectuals. We don't all have to agree but o.k. They are people who enjoy out shouting the other guy to make a point when they are challenged.
You are correct. Finances are not what makes you.

You realize you're in a thread that started out by giving Morris' spot to BJGE, then became another thread expressing the fervent hope someone steps up to make Maroney ride the pine?

All running back threads for the past two years have gone like this...

Post 1: Wow BJGE runs hard! How can we cut this kid?
Post 2: Yeah, BJGE should start, he's the kind of back Belichick loves.
Post 3: You realize he's the slowest and least nimble back on the roster, don't you?
Post 4: I don't understand why you love Maroney so much, he sucks.

Fair statement sir. I am of the opinion, my opinion, that he has not played as the way we would all expect for a first rounder.
There are many of this camp.

If he has a great year, super. I am beginning to think he has a physical problem like a need for contacts. I am just saying.

I see no change in his running style in these games, have you?

I never said BJGE should start. But I root for the underdog and not the underachiever.

I root for the underdog and not the underachiever.

Very good point.

BJGE runs hard and works his reps, but he's in a mix with three talented RB's and LoMo who must be talented or something, to keep turning up as the #1 back.

To be fair, all the late-game backs seemed better than the early game backs. It's certainly got to do with the opposition. Still, if you're getting gains, you're obviously better than the people defending you. To me that seats him somewhere between scrub and lock, not at just one side of the fence.

he played against their 2nd team defense. so i agree. let's wait and see how he does against the other teams' starters.

He did that already last year, and if memory serves me, he did pretty darn well........

BJGE did well against Buffalo and Denver, but crappy against St. Louis.. And he was mediocre to poor in the other games.. Then was benched the final 3 games of the seson..

It's not like he hasnt shown what he can do when it counts. Is what he did last season just erased from the record?

I'd disagree that he is not better than Morris at this point in their careers. The kid just needs a shot.
And Brady may have played last year as well.....Morris didn't keep Pollard down and let him keep coming.......and we saw what happened when he got there.

You are smart Mrs. Sanders. You figured out whose feces is without scent besides Simon#1. That Cub Scout Pack must be fun.
Maroney dances too much. Live with it Cousin. Your son is a solid back up Safety in this league. Nice kid, so you raised him right, but with limited talent. He will not start be years end. Not a playmaker and limited range. Anyone here on this site argue that point? If he was covering Cooley as he should have been (it was his man, Bruschi took the blame but he was underneath. That was your son's zone) he would not have to have run as far. Copy this down so if I am wrong you can go Nah, Nah! to me.

Mods.... Can there be one guy using two names on this site like Harry and Lloyd here (or Harry Lloyd)?
DW Toys

LOL.

And you know this, how? It's time for you to come to grips with the fact that Sanders is the Patriots' starting FS. Until you can come to grips you can go pound sand. Or do I have to rub your nose in it?

why do people not like BJGE?

because there is no spot for him?

because they don't want the pats to carry 5 rbs?

All this talk about Maroney, Sanders, and Kaczur being garbage makes me long for the days Kevin Faulk was considered a fumble machine. Now there was a back we could really lay into.

*ROFLMAO* I love when you blatantly lie..

Not to beat your head, here is hot from the press:
Bob George/BosSports.net: "Laurence Maroney is still showing the annoying penchant for juking too much behind the line of scrimmage."

The people you tried to put down are paid for their articles and opinions, and they are published on websites that actually generate revenue.

You tried to put everyone down; national pundits, football analysts... they are just making it up.. they are not seeing it right..they do not count. blah blah.. what are you? What made you so special and different?

You are a free loader. You've made over 1000 posts (make that over 10,000, wow!!) and it is full of rude garabage. You constantly call people ignorant and uneducated. You should be thankful that Ian has this free web site so you can waste life away typing non sense non stop. What you write has non value other than iritation and it is a big waste of everyone's time. People were trying to have a civilized dialog about BJGE. Unfortunately, you jumped in (with Dues) like two junk yard dogs and started attacking people and calling names.

It is pathetic to see social misfits and struggles of such stubborn little men. I hope the pats finally release/trade Maroney; will you cry, you little man?

Of course you would.. And then, when Morris and Taylor are injured, the Pats will have no one but Faulk and BJGE.. and that won't amount to much offense in the running game and it will make the Patriots totally one-dimensional..

Haha, usually it's Maroney everyone worries about getting injured and usually he does. In these past few season what has Maroney shown? He's an injury prone finess running back that has a nice second gear WHEN he doesn't get touched in the backfield. At this point I think a guy who was taken in the first round needs to have shown more. Seems like a nice guy but he's a total bust IMO.

You may want to consult the dossier on "Fragile" Fred Taylor.

Kevin Faulk is actually productive in the running game. how many times do I have to see the draw where he gets 5...10 yard chunks on a consistent basis.

he won't get 15-20 carries but it's enough to keep the defense honest.
