Not at all....
What did you see in the KC game to make you think the offense was inconsistent?
It came to me, the best analogy for the team is that the Patriots are like the Ravens. Good defense, good coach and inconsistent offense. Lets hope it is like the one year McNair caught lightening in a bottle, not the Kyle Boller years.

I don't know if you are serious or not but I will bite.

I was thinking of the season in general not just the first game. But looking at the KC game, not counting end of half or end of game situations there were at least 4 three and outs... that is a lot. 17 points against one of the worst teams in the league is nothing great either but a win is a win so I will take it.
I expect Cassell to be inconsistent, he is a career backup not Joe Montana.
Back to my analogy, lets remember the Ravens won a superbowl with Trent Dilfer, so keep the dream alive. The Pats D is not as good as the Ravens was but the Patriots are solid across the board so they really shouldn't be out of any content.
Awesome Sig, Disco.
Let's look at those four 3 and outs:
I recall dropped pass by Welker on 3rd down which would have been first down.
I recall Evans not picking up what should have been a gimme first down when he could not run for one yard on 3-1.
I recall Cassle being swallowed up on a sack when he had zero time- but wise SMART enough to eat the ball <>rather than rick a Favresque throw it up for grabs pass that could have brought disaster.<> That showed me alot.
I recall Cassle trying to find Moss deep and not connecting.
He managed the game well, no disasters, what more coudl you have asked for??
Seems to me we are fine.
Dude, really. Don't site that if you don't understand the game. The result of that throw at worst was like a good punt. His downside was low, while clearly the upside was huge. Of course, it was very lucky that it resulted in a TD, but the play was not bad. Let it go.
Yes at worst it was a good punt. I mean it's 100% impossible for it to be run back if intercepted. Nope the law is if Favre throws an INT there you have to fall.
Secondly, he didn't cite any specific play... He said "Favresque", way to know the career of your QB
