What an insane, dysfunctional organization I have had the displeasure of growing up in.

No wonder we often turn to drinking.

Two points. One, it's an act of pentinence. Two, why is this in the political forum, when we have a religious forum? Could a mod move it please. Thank you.

All beliefs, including atheism, are "insane and disfunctional" to those who have other beliefs. There are almost a billion people on the world who think cows are sacred. Almost another billion believe in reincarnation. Over a billion people believe God became man to save us all from ourselves. There are even people who believe that all matter and energy in the entire universe has actually come from one single point in space about 14 billion years ago. Pretty ridiculous, huh?

Religion is political, unfortunately.

So the Pope using a belt on himself, as an act of pentinence, is political in what way? Please enlighten me.

The unsaid scandal is that he sometimes subbed out the work to Mistress Xandr...

Nahh, I won't go there

RW....do you actually defend anyone whipping themselves with a belt?

Keep in mind that popes are no different than you & I. They're not special people.

I left Organized Religon years ago, I would suggest you all and your children stay as far away from these places as you possibly can,
Any Christian Church
Tent Meetings
Bible Study's
Holy Roller Gatherings
Synagogue
Mosques
Prayer Meetings
Sunday School's
etc,etc

Those places are the breeding grounds for Wars, Hate, Killing's and most all of mans inhumanity to man, "man killing man for the sake of ones religion" has been going on since the Cave Man started to worship "his rock"

There is a Supreme Being and he moves in mysterious ways his wonders to perform, worship him in your own minds and stay away from those f-cking brainwashing buildings called "places of worship"

WORSHIP THINESELF THINE WIFE AND THINE CHILDREN
From The Book Of Harry
