Zak Kuhr De facto DC. How is he doing?

The first drives are really bizarre, but he's done a fine job so far. They seem to pay better in man situations.

Hes doing a great job. He had some good experience during preseason to prepare him a bit for the role.

However we'd be foolish if we didn't think Vrabel was intimately involved in all aspects of the defensive ops (game planning, calls, etc)

Apparently we are mistaken about that, it has something to do with the 'sample size' making them appear less successful on 1st drives than the evidence before our lying eyes is suggesting to us. Me, I mistakenly thought maybe the opponents scripted plays showed their hands in terms of how they wanted to attack the Pats D and the subsequent adjustments/corrections allowed for what had been shown. But it turns out the problem hasn't been that at all, the problem is the 'sample size.'

They have to figure out that first drive stuff. They adjust really well after that, but at some point, I worry it will catch up to him.

Also, someone's gotta get on that zone defense, it needs to tighten up.

Minor nitpicks, considering how well they've played over the balance of the season, hard to say that he hasn't done really well, considering the circumstances.

The first 15 plays are usually scripted
Then they revert back to their tendencies
So that can explain the slow start
But they have to do better figuring it out quickly
I think Kuhr has been very good otherwise
The Defense has made a lot of those late game stops when needed
It’s the coaching of those players making those stops
