Do Pats fans envy the Chiefs?

They are a dynasty. But the road is much less tougher than NE faced. Jackson, Burrow, and Allen are not even remotely close to the QB Peyton Manning was. Taylor & McDermott aren't close to Tomlin & 2008-2014 Harbaugh.

They never faced an 01 Rams or 2014 Seahawks caliber team in a SB. Heck, I think the 2016 Falcons might be better than any opponent KC faced.

Now....they still had to draft well and develop. Obviously they are well coached and have an elite QB. Can't take that away. History will remember them as a dynasty. But even as a fan, I can acknowledge the road isn't what NE faced.
Not close to Manning I'll give you that. But they aren't as far away as some think.

-Burrow battles injuries a lot, but when he is healthy, he's really commands an offense and takes what he is given better than anyone since Brady and Manning. If Burrow can stay 100% healthy for a full season and into the post season, I think him and the Bengals would be equal to the chiefs. But, he can't stay healthy. You know the saying, AVAILABILITY is one of the most important ABILITIES.

-Jackson gives you a skill set that is as difficult to defend since anything since Michael Vick, but overall Jackson is better than Vick. The thing with Jackson is he seems to have his biggest games in the regular season and does't reall 'show up' in the playoffs. I'm not sure if he gets in his own head in the playoffs, or he gets worn down by the end of the year because his style, or he just doesn't like colder weather games.

-Josh Allen. When he is 'on', you cannot stop him. On Allen's BEST days, he is as unstoppable as Mahomes on his best day, or Brady, or Manning. The issue with Allen is he isn't "on" as much as most other QB's. To get to/win the superbowl, you need a little luck AND your QB not having a bad day. So far Allen either hasn't had the luck or is more likely to have a BAD day somewhere along the way. The fact he isn't 'on' as much as other QB's, well, that is why he's not as good, it is a flaw just like a lack of mobility is a flaw or the inability to be accurate on a deep ball is a flaw. Might be as talented as anyone, but doesn't have that 'killer instinct'. Seems to want to have fun, be 'one of the boys' more, and less of "a student of the game" like Manning or have the "I'll beat you at all costs" attitude of Brady.

I am fascinated by Mahomes. No matter how well (or badly) he is playing, no matter what the quality of the "weapons" available to him on some particular day, he always retains the ability to come up with some sort of magic when needed. Generally you can sort of understand the nature of a player's genius. Mahomes' brilliance successfuly defies description or analysis, which makes it sort of fascinating or gratifying - a relief - in a world in which there is always some bean-counting son of a ***** asserting that everything is readily explained by careful empirical analysis. You can't explain Chopin or Django Reinhardt, or Wallace Stevens or Wassily Kandinsky, and thankfully you can't explain Mahomes either.

The problem is it’s a really diluted league these days. Not a lot of excellent teams out there. Go Lions
I agree with this. A good two-thirds of games these days are a bore to watch. We don't even get to watch that kamikazee kickoff thing any more, and my favorite player from back in the day, Ray Nitschke, wouldn't even be allowed on the field today: he'd be remanded to some reeducation camp run by gender-fluid social workers or something.

Obsession? LMFAO, you have 8 posts here over the course of 16 months and EVERY one of them concerns the Chefs, any obsession appears to reside with you.

That ending yesterday... WTF? Even if it was an illegal shift, the ref who thought it was a False Start blew his whistle, which should have ended the play right there. Instead, the refs met and decided their payoff would be on the line if they didn't figure out a way to get the Chiefs the ball - boom - illegal motion - no whistle for a dead ball - Chiefs recover - confirmed on review (oh surprise!!).

The only consolation for me was that it was against the Raiders. It's always a good day when the Raiders get screwed over by the officials. Ben Dreith sucks.

I love how Mahomie runs like he is going out of bounds and then cuts up field for 10 more yards because the defense stopped chasing his axx.
