Sure, everything I hear about Drew is that he's a good guy.
Personal opinion on his comments
I take more offense to people driving around with ripped and tattered flags or flying them in darkness. How many times have you seen some car or truck driving down the road with a torn or dirty flag? If you're going to fly the flag, that's completely disrespectful IMO and those rules are spelled out. Kneeling for the anthem is pretty mild compared to that in my list of pet peeves but I don't show up at their work and demand them be fired or vandalize their property. I have never heard anyone make a big deal about it or want to pass a law on those violations of edicate either. If you're going to fly it, treat it with the respect you claim to have for it and quit being lazy.
Just to add to this since my observations are active , stop standing and using the national anthem for a time to twist and stretch out. You want to kneel and take a deliberate action, fine. In some way, you're actually giving the flag/anthem some weight by choosing that symbol. How respectful is it to use that time as an opportunity to stretch, adjust your seat, take off your coat, or worse yet, to know it's coming so you use that time to make a pit stop? Those are disrespectful actions too but the difference is that you aren't giving it the weight it should have.
