it's a release from the patriots themselves. Would you like a copy?
Are you on the actual practice squad?

NO s**** Gee...do u THINK maybe his elbow got worse...or that JUST MAYBE it's an injury that is nagging and NOT reported?? Boy do you have a lot to learn....But.what does FAs next year have anything to do with promoting him now to the 53?? Looking ahead...he may be under contract...OR will be..so that really doesn't make any sense...does it??How am I missing the point?? BTW, Koppen or any other OL is not on the injury report: Injury report - Reiss' Pieces - Boston.com
I think you always need to think ahead, Hochstein and Britt are both FA's after this season.

Firstly..you are just a SA punk...and that to me scores ZERO points..indicates more childishness... but beyond that.. Actually it's NOT usually the case where players get signed off practice Squads to another team's 53...It's happend 4 times in 9 years here, so HARDLY commonplace. Secondly. they most likely CAN and WILL sign him if he was on the PSqd at the end of the year, so that is not a biggie at all. Thirdly, Britt is a tackle so he would not have anything to do with replacing him...Hochstein, maybe..as both are interior linemen. Fourthly, when there are so many injuries going on, why would they all of a sudden look to NEXT YEAR, when so many players are injured and backups ARE needed THIS year?? I just think there is more to it...and like the reason punters have been on the PSquad early in teh year and currently, I think fans may never know.Well you seem to have all the answers why even ask any questions?? I think if another team signs him to their 53 they would more than likely give the player a deal running through next season, as is commonplace in the league, at this juncture so in that case Connolly would belong to the other team so that's what it has to do with Hochstein and Britt being UFA's after this season. But, since I have a lot to learn that's probably not correct.
You are either Jermaine Wiggins or Rod Rutledge. pats1 is the other.

Two guys playing really well for the Giants right now are defensive end Dave Tollefson and wide receiver Domenik Hixon, both brought in last year. Tollefson was stolen from the Raiders practice squad and Hixon was claimed from the Broncos. All while teams like the Bengals don’t make any moves. Amazing right? Tollefson was very impressive this week moving inside and showing his quickness.

It looks like his addition to the roster might be more with the future in mind, as Hochstein's contract expires after the 2008 season. Players promoted from the practice squad this season have regularly signed three-year contracts. Connolly showed some promise in training camp, but inconsistency with the shotgun snap hurt his chances of sticking on the 53-man roster.
Raiders activated RB Louis Rankin from their practice squad.
A surprising addition considering Rankin doesn't return kicks and the three regular Oakland tailbacks aren't on the injury report. Rankin, who performed well on the preseason as an undrafted free agent, may get a handful of carries before the season is out. Sunday against New England isn't likely the time for it.
Here's another example of a team promoting a player from the PS with the future in mind, from our opponent this week. These moves don't seem uncommon at all:
