It may be just "imaginative memory" but it seems to me that wildcard weekend usually features:
- two virtual blowouts (not necessarily indicated by a lopsided final score, but in which the winning team demonstrates early and often that its opponent has no business being there)
- two close games (multiple lead changes, comes down to the final possession)
- one stunning upset

With this in mind . . .

"Blowouts":

HOU 27-10 over CIN (including a garbage-time TD by the Bengals)
- I'll take this; 31-10 is close and HOU did dominate as the game went on.

NYG 38-13 over ATL (might still be relatively close at halftime, though)
- Another NYG FG for 27-2 and I would have had the spread correct. Like HOU, NYG didn't get rolling right away, but still made the Falcons look like they didn't really belong there. And 7-2 is a pretty close halftime score.

Close games:
NOL 37-30 over DET (possibly even in OT)
- Yeah, not nearly as close as I thought it would be.

DEN 13-10 over PIT (the upset, but perhaps actually decided in Q3 with no Q4 scoring by either team)
- PIT surprised me by coming back and fulfilling the "close" game prediction. Got the upset part right, anyway.

NO (My pick to win the NFC)
Cin
Den (Just a hunch...I think the Pitt D is a little older and slower and the thin air will not help)
NYG (D-Line on fire again)

Tebow! Tebow!

I don't believe what I just saw!

Good thing I had SF/GB/NE and Balt advancing or i would have gone 1-3.

Congrats and a tip of my Pats cap to the 32 of you who foresaw the Broncos' victory. I sure didn't!:youtheman:

....

Where would I bet next month's mortgage payment? It would really, really, really surprise me be if the Steelers get Tebowed.

When I'm wrong, I'm really wrong. Glad I didn't get the chance to make that bet....

Foresaw might be too strong a word. Just a hunch...one in which I had little confidence.
