Sullivan was the year after, I believe. So, far he's nothing like Seymour or Stroud.

Sullivan was one of the canards when we drafted Ty Warren. J-E-T-S bit on Robertson and NO bit on Sullivan.

suckafools

Most people predicted they'd pick Wilfork if he was still there at 21.

This year I'm with most. Williams if he's there, or Carpenter. THe Browns think he'll play inside in the 3-4, not outside.

In the first round at least. Write that down. And do you know why they won't take him in the first round? Because when most people predict a certain player is going to the Pats they take a totatly different player. Oh, didn't everyone think the Pats were going to take David Terrell in '01? Oh yeah, they took Seymour! No one saw that coming...The point is, just when you think you know, you don't have a clue who they will take. So toss the Carpenter possibility out the window. Hey, I would love to grab him in the 2nd round, but not the first. I'm banking that they won't take Carpenter in the first round. I rest my case.

Congrats I think you've found the world's thinnest argument.

Yes, Kenyatta was one of them. Seymour was not. Many people also thought Deuce McCalister would be the pick as well. That's why many Pats fans where like "WTF?" when they took Seymour. I wanted Duece, but Seymour has been more consistant than Deuce. Anybody that thinks that the Pats will take Carpenter has been drinking too much cool-aid, and they would be reaching if they do so.

Can anybody help me out here? What was the consensous mock pick for the picks in that 6th spot in '01.

Gerard Warren and Seymour were mentioned a lot, I believe. Warren taken first?

Edit: third actually. They were mentioned.

I read that too...very strange wouldn't you say?

I'm starting to wonder if Phil Savage knows what he's doing. When the rumors came out last year that he was fired I initially felt bad for Romeo, because Randy Lerner is a total loser, but the moves they made this offseason have me wondering about Savage.

According to MMQB, the '06 cap hit for LeCharles Bentley and Kevin Shaffer = $20.5M (TB+Seymour in '06 = $18.5M)...I'm no genius, but that's just insane.

I'm also a little confused about why Savage is speaking so candidly. He seems to be making public a lot of Cleveland's draft strategy and releasing lists of guys they are interested in. The draft is a poker game which makes me question Savage's actions.
