I don't think Pees would make a good head coach,I think he is made for the defensive side of the ball and is doing an awesome job.

You don't take a persons talent and try to stretch it too far.

Can you say another he might end up like a Rod Rust?

Belichick and Dungy are only a handful of the defensive coaches I have seen to have solid success as a HC in the NFL and even BB took a while to seperate himself from just being a not so great HC coach to turning his career into a HOF coach.
 
I think we are going to lose our assistant strength and conditioning coach after this season, when we win the bowl. I think guys that have worked for Woicik and have success have a built in market for their services.

Another question to ponder is which former coach would be the first to return? With both Groh and Crennel on the hot seat, could you see either of them returning in 2008 if they were to be "let go".

PS: Crennel has a lot of D-line experience and that would allow Pepper to focus on the ILB's.
