Who Do We Cheer For - Denver or Indy - and Why?

Or will IND have to beat NE in the playoffs to shut most of you up?

LOL!!! Indy is going to beat the Patriots in the playoffs????? Indy would lose to Boston College in the playoffs with their playoff history. Your team is nothing but a team of overrated and glorified losers. Aren't you used to it by now?

the correct answer is the simplest one, we root for a tie. neither team gets a w for their effort. assuming we beat indy in two weeks, we hold the tiebreaker over both due to a (soooo slight) tiebreaker over both.

i cannot possibly root for Indy for any reason

Denver doesn't scare me in spite of recent history--Plummer sucks like Bledsoe...

I agree I want Indy to lose soon and often could care less if they made the playoffs or not.

Some of you guys are complete fools. There is no question that you pull for the Colts. Not liking Poilian or any other Colts personel is silly. There is no way the Patriots go to the Super Bowl if they have to go through Denver and we all know that. Brady can't even save them in that matchup. The lone win for Brady vs. the Broncos was when the Broncos hired a QB off the street and that game STILL came down to the last second. The Patriots simply DO NOT matchup with the Broncos. Same for Broncos vs. the Colts, Steelers & Colts vs. the Patriots.
I like your reasoning if not your attitude.

I don't need to cheer for either team. I'll wait to see the score and then be happy that whichever team loses picked up an L.

On a regular week both teams win. I'll be pleased with the result of the game reguardless.

Denver beat us, again, yet that doesn't bother me. I don't like Indy...not one bit. Denver I can at least respect somewhat...Indy, not at all.

I'm sorry, I will NEVER root for Indy...not even for a bye week...I can't swallow that pill.

This was exactly how I was going to end my "quandry" post, but I thought that it would lessen the artistry of it, 'cause, you know, my posts are a form of art.

Anyway, I was just thinking this this past week. As long as one of the top competition lose per week, by the end of the season NE will only need a 12-4 record to get a bye. And so far, one of the top teams record-wise has lost every week. The trend has no choice but to continue this week as well.

I am rooting for a Indy victory just to see how all those who predicted that the Colts will not make the playoffs spin it away.

Manning with Harrison and Wayne scares the crap out of me.

Plummer...does not...

Probably not a popular sentiment but I'll root for broken legs.
Doesn't matter whose...
(Thats what NaPolian does...)

Do you guys remember the bully that constantly beat you up and took your lunch money in school?Denver is that bully to the Pats. We've have to stand up to this big bad bully one day and defeat them. With that being said,Denver is going to crush the Colts on Sunday.Denver knows that they doesn't stand a chance playing @ Indy in the playoffs.I can't wait to see this grudge match on Sunday.

I am with you. I usually never cheer for injuries, but this might be the first I cheer for carts coming out.

Anyway, I want Indy to win. Why, I want to be the first to put a blemish on them. Thats why I want the Bears to go undefeated until we play them, because I want us to be the first to put a 1 in the loss column in both teams.

I absolutely hate the Colts. I want them to lose.

When the Pats lose to Denver, it hurts, but it's not that bad because I respect them.

When the Pats lost to the Colts last year, I literally felt sick for a whole day afterwards.

Playoff positioning is what it is -- if you can't beat every team on your playoff schedule, you aren't going to be SB Champion.

I want the Colts to lose. I actually kind of like Denver in a respect-your-enemy kind of way.

a tie?? No kidding, got to root for Indy and hope we take care of them at the razor.. Lets just worry about beating Minny...

I want the Dolts to win. We have their number

Some of you live in your own little world. You were humiliated on national TV and blown out by nearly 3 TDs in your own house the last time we played. It's like Dallas waking up today and saying, "We have the Giants number".

It's funny how scared you guys are of the Donkos.:scared:

:singing: :rocker:

I'm glad some of you are on the Seyton bandwagon though. :rocker: Sell your soul, baby!

Put up your Bill Polian action posters for the weekend!

I want the Colts to win every game.

sets up that excruciating "choke-job",

once again.

How's that Pittsburgh game last year

workin' out for ya?

Can you swallow yet?

Have to root for Indy, because the outcome whether we then go on to beat them or not is better either way.

If Indy beats Denver, if we beat Indy we will be in line for a #1 seed in the conference. If we lose, we will still be in line for a #2 seed.

But if Indy loses to Denver, if we beat Indy we will only be in line for a #2 seed. If we lose, we will have trouble getting any higher than a #3 seed.

Now before you say this is crazy, there is half a season to go, I admit a lot could happen. But there's a huge difference between getting the tiebreakers in line now and having to play the other two teams even the rest of the way, and having to gain a full game in order to assure a bye.

8th week of the season and most of you guys are looking at seeding

even a quote that if someone roots for denver over indy they aren't real pats fans

i'm not really concerned with perceptions of my 'loyalty', but this just makes no sense.

there are teams and/or players that you simply never ever root for, and the whining, rule-changing, blame it on the OL, finger pointing, Vinatieri signing, Jets employee shoving, Indy Colts is one of those teams and their meat cutting, sexual harassing, head shaking prima donna QB is one of those players

the broncos beat us. whch is why i want us to go back to denver or have them come back here and kick their asses. anyone remember 2001 and the greatest show on turf? loss to STL avenged in the playoffs.

denver does not scare me and they should not scare any of you in spite of the recent losses--everything is pointing towards the colts making a run--they are winning the games that they should be winning, even if their run D blows--manning is that good--and i am not as confident of a win here in 2 weeks.

anyone here looking forward to the incessant media ball-washing of a 10-0 Colts team?

didn't think so...

I am a Patriots fan first, and a Colts/Broncos/Jets/Dolphins hater second. I and others just feel that an Indy win benefits the PATRIOTS even as it makes us all uncomfortable. If Denver and Indy get the byes then the Patriots' chances dive dramatically. On the other hand, I feel a bye and 2nd seed would still give us an excellent chance (either to beat Indy or even getting home field if Indy chokes like last year).

If the Broncos win I won't be sad, it's better for us if Indy wins but not by enough to get very wound up over.

way too early to be thinking playoff seedings, but if i am, i pull for indy since denver has the tie-breaker over us and we still get a shot at Indy at home. best plan for us is a hard game in which they both get knocked around so much they lose their next game...
