Guys who are not available whatsoever. No matter what. I'm talking realistically. Giants offer the Pats their next three 1st rounders for Maye? NE probably takes it. Maye & Gonzalez for me. Who you got?

Question: Would the Pats take NYG's 3 1sts in the next three drafts for Maye? I thought about it more. They have draft capital. But no guarantee any new QB would be as good as Maye.

Maye's shown me enough to where I don't think 3 firsts is enough, especially if it's spread over 3 years. I'd need a Herschel Walker-type haul.
He looks like he can play - and there's plenty to still work with to improve.

I would not take the next 3 Giants first round draft picks for Maye. In 5 years when he's the indisputable best QB in football and you are still looking for a QB....you'd regret it. He is completely untouchable unless a similar QB prospect comes along, and you can include drafting them in a trade to get that next Maye. Since I have Maye as the best prospect in the last decade, which is as far as I went back, not sure that will happen.

Off last game, Dell Pettus and Jeremiah Pharms

Realistically I think everyone should have Maye, Gonzalez, Barmore and White, assuming Barmore comes back 100%.
Everyone else is available.

Why would you let go of Boutte and Douglas when they have 2 more years at cheap and are great wr3/wr4 options
.
Hunter Henry also shouldn't be touched.

Maye, Barmore & Gonzo. Though I love a guy like White, I’d still listen for offers on him & everyone else on the team. The other 3? No way.

It's asking about untouchable players. If someone gives you the #10 pick in the last draft, I'm not trading those 4 guys I mentioned but I am trading Boutte, Douglas and pretty much anyone else.
If we are just being realistic, they are not getting offers for DD and Boutte that makes them worth trading but that wasn't the point of the thread, I think.

Ok. These are extreme hypotheticals I presume .

They don't have trade value and have more upside with us . So that's why I referred them as untradeable or untouchable.

Maye, Gonzo, Barmore, Douglas. White.

This team is very bad at football. While I’ll echo other posters’ fondness for Maye, Gonzalez, and Barmore (in that order), I’d most def listen to any call about any player. The haul for Maye would need to be quite impressive. The other two, I’d move on for the right compensation.

The only player that’s an untouchable for me is Maye. Initial returns look like he can be a franchise QB, and if it’s true, he’s the backbone of the team for the next 10-15 years. No one trades franchise QBs away, with good reason.

Everyone else is available. Everyone. Now, some players would have to be blow-me-away offers, but if somehow that offer exists, you have to take it to make the team better. If Jerry Jones gets enamored with Gonzo and says he’ll trade a 2025 1st, a 2025 2nd, and a 2026 1st, I have to strongly consider it. Gonzo and Barmore are the only players who really fall in that category for me at this point. I suppose eventually maybe Pop and White if they keep on developing. Maybe Henry too just because he’s been a good solid outlet for Maye to this point and I want someone reliable like that for a young QB.

The QB potential in this coming draft looks like **** from what I have seen/heard. If they sent Drake to another team for 3 1st round picks over 3 years, I wouldn't be a fan anymore. To get your guy with his potential and then ship him off would be idiotic. I think Drake will eventually be a top 5 QB once there is decent talent around him. If he can play as well as he has with this **** team, just imagine what he could do with a stacked team. Not to sound cliche, but he could be the second coming....well it would be nice. Imagine the hate and vitriol we would get if it came to fruition.....Ahhhhh like the good old days. >=D

I think they would have taken the picks during the draft this year if they were thinking of sending him off after 1 year. It would at least cut down on the drama that would be associated with them doing this (looking like ownership/coaching is inept/dysfunctional). As for other players, sure. Everyone is expendable aside from a talented QB during a rebuild.

Drake Maye.100% Mr Elliot Ness himself, The Untouchable.

Gonzalez 99% isn't Ty Law, but will be good. Would have to blow me away.

Barmore 90%. Isn't Wilfork, would ship him out for the right price, so i'll consider it.

everybody else? Whats your offer, I'll listen...

The only way I'd listen is if it's a player for player swap. Trading for a draft pick for where they was taken would be idiotic.

For example, Trading Maye for a top 1-3 pick isn't worth it if Maye keeps projecting upward.

Ditto with Gonzalez. He's already good enough to know he's a keeper, so why risk drafting a bust with the pick?

Same goes with Barmore.

Everyone else, I'd listen to offers.

They already supposedly turned down 3 firsts from Minnesota for maye before the draft. I see no reason to veer from that now.
Minny’s 3 1st’s are lower than NY’s

It would take something stupid for a couple guys like Gonzo but the only untouchable right now is Maye.

Obviously still a long way to go but if you don't have the guy the next best thing is a prospect like this and I'll take the prospect in hand over 2 or 3 in the bush.

It was characteristic of the struggling Patriots of yore, that the first two Patriots to make the Hall of Fame, Nick Buoniconti and Mike Haynes, both ended up playing for other teams. Maye, Gonzalez, and Barmore don't get traded. Not saying that any of the three will make the Hall of Fame, but you don't get great teams without great players. The Patriots, of late, have not been particularly adept at drafting outstanding talent, making a bunch of draft picks a questionable value.
