After Revis, how much do we have left in cap space? Also, what do you guys think will be the next FA signing? I heard Wesley Woodyard left NE without a contract - not a good sign. Personally, I would like to see a center like Dietrich-Smith, a WR like Emmanuel Sanders and Woodyard. Not sure we have enough cap space though.

Cut Wilfork to get to about 13 million in capspace.

1. Sign a mid-level WR. (Edelman, Nicks if he's ok with a discounted 1 year deal, Lafell worst case)

2. Henry Melton or Clemons (Dolphins safety)

3. Wesley Woodyard

4. Draft time? Although, I'm not sure where our center is coming from.

I think we have $5m now and would have $18m if we cut Wilfork/Wilson.

Though I could be wrong and if so I'm sure I will be corrected within 30 seconds of posting this.

Keeping Wilfork has more impact than 1-2-3-4 put together ...
cutting Wilfork will be a huge mistake ... we need a year to groom a replacement.
Players like Wilfork and Revis effectively give the team a 12-man defense as they make others around them better.

Yup

Wilfork = 7.5m cap savings
A Wilson =800k

I just don't think Wilfork will be the same ever again. Only BB/medical staff really know this. If BB feels as if Wilfork can make 100% recovery and play at his high level again then he is definitely worth keeping.

Cut Vince (sorry big guy)-- a big fat guy coming off Achilles injury is not going to be effective after 1 year, if ever. Especially a guy who is 34 years old.

Get Jared, Steve Smith, and Gonzalez.

Hopefully DE is our 2nd "biggest" signing

Wouldn't mind cutting Wilfork either, and drafting a DT in the 1st or 2nd

Nr. 89.

The secret behind his anger that no one knows is that he's had to play for the Panthers for 13 years.

Unleash the beast!

Mini Hulk + Gronkanator. If nothing else, the games -and touchdown celebrations- will be A+ entertainment!

I agree with the initial thought. Vince is done. Time to move on, and focus on the now, as well as the future. Jared Allen! Come on down! ( and yes i know Allen isn't a DT, but that's where i'd like to see that cap space go).

Edelman could come back doesn't look like the market has played out well for him. Steve Smith would be great too. Would also like another athletic linebacker to help in coverage. I would take Jared Allen over Peppers at this point.

he may not be able to push the pocket ... we'll see ... so yes we will need some help there ... but Vince is an extreme athlete even at 90% he will still be a beast vs the run and not even 2 guys we have now can do the job of the one Vince IMO.

Probably Shelby Smith who is meeting with the Patriots tonight

One of the guards seems most likely.

We have also had LB's, DL's and WR's visiting.

For a team that had no action in the first 30 HOURS of free agency, we've met with lots of folks.

And yeah, we upgraded the only free agent that signed elsewhere.

A lot of silence by the Pats followed by posts of doom and hatred toward all things BB/Kraft.

No we don't. There's a lot of pro ready DT's in the draft and the Pats will probably go in that direction early with guys like Nix, Tuitt, or Hageman. Vince needs to restructure or get cut.

The open question is how much Wilfork is worth to the patriots.

This where we are:

Kelly, Jones, Siliga, Armstead, draft choice, Vellano

We could even add a free agent.

We lose Spikes, Talib, Fletcher, and Edelman...but honestly does that mean jack **** when you get the best CB in the league on a 1 year prove it deal?

I'd love to see Allen here, but honestly everything from here on out is gravy, imo.

Draft will solve a majority of the other issues..

I would target more players who were released from their teams as opposed to UFA's. That way we get compensatory pick for Talib (3rd or 4th) and signing Revis doesn't count against us.

Jason Avant(WR)? Julius Peppers(DT/DE)? Phil Costa(C)?

They could also cut Amendola and designate him a June 1st cut. Extend Wilfork. Resign Edelman.

Woodyard would be nice. He is very fast, good coverage LB.

Note: any compensatory pick would be in 2015.
