Requested by Feep50, FYI max options for a poll are 10.

If you choose a specific position reply with the player you think will be selected or if you choose trade reply with what you think the trade could be.

Movin on up.....

With the depth at OLB that would have to be the most likely choice.

Larry English is my top choice at that position from where the Pats are sitting at #23.

Not sure if they go up or down...but I think they trade out of #23

I have a feeling that they'll target one or two LBs at 23, and if they're gone, they'll either trade out of that spot, or take a RT. The Patriots don't just look at the draft board. They integrate the draft board with their current roster and evaluate potential picks against their current roster. IMO, one of the biggest opportunities may be to upgrade the RT position. Kasczur has a cap number of $2.4M, making him one of the worst values on the team. If Bill can upgrade that position at a lower cap number, I think he'll do it.

Why do you want to upgrade Kazcur?, he has been a starter since rookie and at 2.4 M its a bargain (considering other starters RT are earning this days). I know he's not an all pro but he's fine.

With 4 picks within a 36 pick range (23-58), I think that whoever the Pats take will be highly influenced by who else they think is available at that position and how likely there are to be other acceptable options at their next picks. With that in mind, I don't see us drafting LB or DB in the first round, because there are too many quality options available with little separation between them. At LB, whether you prefer Barwin, Matthews, Cushing, Johnson, Ayers, Maybin, Sintim, Maualuga or English is largely a matter of taste, and some of them are likely to be available at #34, or possibly even at #47. There's just too many of them. Same for DB where Louis Delmas, Sean Smith, William Moore and Patrick Chung are all solid safety options, and there are multiple CB options with little separation as well. So unless the Pats feel strongly that one particular guy stands head and shoulders above the rest, or fits their scheme much better than the rest, then it makes little sense to pick LB or DB at #23 instead of a position like OT which is not likely to last.

I think BB has 2-3 players we wants at 23 and will take whoever is there. If they are not; I can see him trading down but hope he doesn't. There should be some good talent at this position and someone may even slip down to us we didn't expect.

OT, maybe Eben Britton

I agree. Larry English would help with our Pass Rush!!

No movement up or down from #23. I voted for OLB. Matthews, Cushing or Sintin.

Thx for setting up this poll!

Too many people who want Gorin back.

My guess is a DE (I know I'm in a small minority). Obviously, we will draft/acquire a LB or two, but 34 may be soon enough. If not, we can trade up with the 34. 23 seems the time for DE. One mock today had us drafting Jackson.

If Belichick sees the player he wants (no matter what the position), he'll move up. We certainly have enough resources. Although I don't expect a trade up, I would think that Maualuga and Brown are the two who might take a move up if Belichick is interested.

It seems that we can get our safety at 47 or even 58. That leaves 23, 34, 58 and 89 to use (alone or in combination) to get our early front seven improvement and insurance.
