Yes Brady is NOT god and he WILL make mistakes,Are you expecting perfection? - Not on this earth - Brady is great,Not perfect.

Brady will make more mistakes this year but hopefully they will not cost us a game but mistakes happen to the best players and things like his errors in throws on sunday will happen more than just once during a long grueling NFL season..

You didn't expect Brady to continue his 75% or more passing percentage completions throughout all season did you?

Enough already pal. Did you even watch the game? Or read what I have said?

Do you realize that build into the comp % there are throwaways, dropped balls, defensed passes, etc.? Every QB in the league would be expected to hit at least 90% on the specific throws I mentioned that Brady missed. Would they all make the same *decisions*? Probably not, but they were notable bad throws. I would be that Brady would realisitcally expect himself (this isn't idealistic stuff, mind you, this is normal expectations) to complete those throws at least 95% of the time. Of course you didn't mention that I specifically said:

A letdown, whle certainly not encouraged, is understandable.

The reason for my criticism is that it did *not* take NE long to diagnose what was happening. They knew what was happening, got the matchups they wanted and then just screwed up. Of course the other team deserves credit for taking Moss and Welker out, but Stallworth catches the pass and it is 27-0. Also as I said, Brady completely missed on three balls that all would have given first downs in the 3rd quarter.

It wasn't a case of confusion, it was a case of making a mistake.

What also would have helped our collective psyche would have been a TD, instead of a FG, on our opening drive. 1st/goal on the 3? Against Indy and Dallas, that must be a TD, or we lose.

Dude, a major strength of this board is critical analysis that many posters here provide, win or lose, tight game or blowout. If you're hear for just "ra ra, go team, go", then find another board.

I couldn't agree more, Oswlek's post at the top had some research behind it, he dug through play-by-play gamelogs and told us something we didn't already know.

I have to dig through 10 "pats rock! no pats suck go indy!" exchanges just to find one post like this. Why make us all dig through 50 instead? Oswlek is part of the reason this board is readable.

The nature of this thread is if we don't humiliate every opponent something is wrong and its going to be that way since fans are used to those 20 point wins - Grow up,Its the NFL,Not little league or high school

The Patriots are NOT going to dominate every game in 2007 - Get it through your thick heads,Take wins for what they are,Very hard to win and even harder to keep it up week after week

I think if ANY head coach or player would hear this,his response would be the same...A win is a win,Ugly or not -its hard to win in the NFL consistently either by 1 point or 30

Dude, the Pats had shirts printed up saying "I EAT HUMBLE PIE" and BB has one that says "I SERVE HUMBLE PIE". What's that mean? They're perfectionists, and they are obsessed with trying to maximize their performance.

Many fans on this site take football quite seriously and take the Patriots quite seriously, and thankfully, the Patriots are playing at such a high level that it is a great joy to some to watch these games and re-watch these games with such scrutiny.

No one here is complaining. In fact, I would call myself a homer and a kool-aid drinker. The tone of this thread as set by the OP (Oswelk) is analytical.

You have to learn to tell the difference between analysis and whining, b/c there is a HUGE difference.

To me, your post seems nothing more than a brutally misguided attempt at self-righteouness. If you don't want to take a closer look at these games, fine.

I am firmly convinced that Belichick wanted to get somemore balanced production out of the other receivers rather than rely on just Moss and Welker.
I think there were several occasions when Brady purposely held the ball waiitng and waiting for Stallworth and/or Watson to get free.

But I think the Browns game was meant to be the Stallworth breakout game. It wasn't quite the way it worked out though.

Its true that Stalworth caught 4 passes, but he dropped a couple too, and on several throws that might have been scoring type plays, he didn't score.

He did score ona play that was not expected to be a scoring play though. That demonstrated his YAC ability.

Critiquing Stallworth's game, I didn't see him ever get a lot of separation though. He resembeld Reche Caldwell in that respect, alhtough I thought Reche was able to catch the ball in a crowd better though. Reche obviously doesn't have the speed that Donte does though.
