When is the last season that we started the same 5 OL for the first 2 games of the season.
That alone may be the reason for a better offense in week 2.

Yes - continuity (health) at OL will absolutely be the reason for at least 2 or 3 wins during the season.
That's great and all but I think corpse Moses is the weak link. I wouldn't mind seeing the younger Marcus Bryant or Caedan Wallace get another shot there again. I for one rather the ongoing Youth movement along the OL: we have spent a boat load of Draft capital there.

Wow, AI is a lot more stupid than we thought... this whole article is written by an AI bot who still thinks BB is coaching the Patriots.

I totally agree. I'm hoping Moses lasts as along as he can, but moving to Bryant mid-season or whatever would be fine. It's mostly the other 4 that I think could really get it done this season. RT tends to be a bit interchangeable.

He's gotta get the false start thing cleaned up, he can't be doing that.
All-in-all though, he's had some pretty decent weeks, considering he's had to cover for the fat tub of overpaid goo next to him.

Let's' hope FatWenu plays good this year; so we can move him in the Offseason. We probably could get a Fourth for Him in a Trade.

So long as PFF keeps grading him as good, we've got a chance. I can't wait to get that salary off the books. What a horrible contract.

Him still looking out of shape is what bothers me. I thought Vrabel would be more tough on him: we know BB would have let him walk.

I mean, there's only so much he can do, they can't cut him, it actually costs them money at this point, and he's still the 3rd highest paid player on the team. He inherited him, that was an Elliot Wolf Special.

That Wolf name gain.

Considering how hard it's been to get a LG out of the platoon of players we had in camp, there's no way they address RG until next offseason.

Yup, 100% correct. Maybe even draft a guy, there's some decent guards coming out this year.
It's a rebuild, not a complete team, yet, and some things just won't be fixed this year. You can't do it all in one offseason. But if you have a QB (or think you do), that's a huge, huge piece. The Jets have been searching for one for 20 years. They Bears have been for what, 60 years?

Gotta keep in mind that off-season they couldn't convince any good players to take their money over other teams' money. And unlike some previous years, every team had money thanks to the huge yearly cap bumps post-covid. NE was a dumpster fire with no QB and no coach, nobody wanted to come as long as they could get paid elsewhere.

So with the CBA forcing the Pats to spend a chunk of that money anyway, they had to throw it at someone. Hence the Onwenu and Dugger deals, among others.

That pressure-to-sack chart tells you all you need to know about Tua, what a dumpster fire. And look who's right next to him - Mac Jones.

Its been nice watching football and being excited about it again. Edge of my seat screaming at the TV, for most of the Miami game, which went completely opposite from what I predicted. I just can't get a handle on who these guys are yet.

On one hand lead the NFL in sacks so we are a great pass rushing team right? Anybody else feel like that stat is a mistake as you see both Geno and Tua have long stretches of being able to eat a sandwich back there? Davis gave up one catch, and Marcus Jones has played well,so we have good coverage right? Yet both games it felt like 3rd and 20 was right where the offense wanted us.

Love love love that the offense has had 6 guys take 100% of the snaps. Biggest difference from last year when we had decent starters on the oline but zero depth and then lost a starter every week for the first 4 weeks. Again we have decent starters and they are playing and meshing which will pay big dividends down the line. Young guys will only get better with more reps and hopefully Moses gets his head out of his butt. Campbell false starting I can live with, he's a rook. Literally losing my **** on the 3rd one "C'mon you're the @#&$8ing veteran the leader of the group you can't be pulling this ****e you @#$& %€¥# old @&_#+( #&#$ pile of man baby"

Drake Maye is another one, is he the guy that gets over hyped and misses high or the surgeon that dropped an absolute dime to Boutte and Rham? Answers probably somewhere in the middle and as long as we see more games like the second one I will be happy with progress and hopeful for the future.

So unlike Miami where I predicted both teams suck and it would be a boring game, I'm back to having to guess on historic averages. Home team will probably win by 3 with a score in the low 20's. Should be fun!

FYI, I notice on the tape Barmore had his leg landed on by a lineman on the last play and got up slowly, assuming no writers commented on him after the game I assume he is fine. I guess will see on the injury report today if anything lingered.

The play he got hit in the balls was earlier in the game so I assume this was a second potential thing to monitor?
