Per various Pats beat writer's tweets:

- S Patrick Chung was at Tuesday's practice after not making the trip to Denver.

- DE Eric Moore and OT Sebastian Vollmer were the only players not seen at Tuesday's practice.

Today was a walkthrough in shells in the practice bubble.

Good step for Chung. They don't mention Spikes so I'm hoping he is back as well. Both would be a big boost to the D. Beginning to expect Vollmer not to return as he has been battling back problems all year (after missing a season in college). Moore is curious as he was active at the end of the Denver game and is one of the more athletic DLs on the roster.

I Tweeted Spikes and told him to get his butt back in there and play hard. I expect him to perform well the rest of this season. :rocker:

Good! That always works!

Would like to see Chung and Spikes get some reps in the Bills game, we need them for the playoffs. Guessing we won't see Vollmer this year.

Moore wasn't present due to being released.

Patriots announce the release of DE Eric Moore.

Wednesday update via Jeff Howe:

Aaron Hernandez, BenJarvus Green-Ellis Absent From Practice - New England Patriots - NESN.com

The Patriots were surprisingly missing two of their offensive starters Wednesday at practice, as tight end Aaron Hernandez and running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis did not participate.

Hernandez (knee) and Green-Ellis (toe) had been hampered earlier in the season, but it's unclear if either injury caused them to miss Wednesday's session, which was held in sweats and shells inside the Dana-Farber Field House.

Safety Patrick Chung (foot) was present for the second day in a row, and it was the first time he participated in a non-walkthrough since Dec. 9.

Tackle Sebastian Vollmer (foot, back), who was spotted with crutches and a walking boot Tuesday, missed another practice. He hasn't been present since Nov. 25.

Hernandez declined media interviews during Tuesday's locker-room access, which may have been the first indication that he was dinged up. Since the Patriots had a walkthrough Tuesday, it seems most likely that he suffered an injury during the best statistical performance of his career Sunday.

Being that it's a short week they are probably given a Extra day off. We really need that First Round Bye.

The BJGE injury really doesnt bother me, would love to see more "gamebreakers" get touches. He is great at what he does 3 yrd cloud of dust reliable guy lets see more ridley, woodhead, and possibly ever vareen.

The practice absence from Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez was not injury-related, according to the injury report. Law Firm has an illness

Good to hear about Hernandez.

Deion Branch 'Feeling Pretty Good' After Missing Sunday's Game Against Broncos - Jeff Howe - NESN.com

Patriots wide receiver Deion Branch sounded optimistic that he could return to the field Saturday against the Dolphins, but he wasn't willing to commit to an answer.

Branch, who didn't travel to Denver last weekend due to a groin injury, acknowledged Wednesday it was a good sign that he addressed the media (players who aren't healthy enough to play very rarely speak during the week), and he said he's "feeling pretty good."

Branch hasn't missed a single practice since the start of training camp, so it was surprising that he didn't travel to Denver. However, due to his participation in practice, it would indicate the team was erring on the side of caution.

Thursday's injury updates.

  • - Brandon Spikes (knee) did not participate, after being limited yesterday.

  • - Sebastian Vollmer once again did not participate, so I would assume he's not playing against the Dolphins.

  • - Ryan Wendell and Danny Woodhead were removed from the injury report after being listed as limited Wednesday.

  • - Aaron Hernandez was removed from the injury report after not participating in Wednesday's practice for a non-injury reason.

  • - BJGE was back and limited (sick).

  • - And it didn't take long at all for the newest Patriot to join the injury report:

newly signed DB Vincent Fuller was limited because of a broken forearm that he suffered in Detroit. I mean, he’s back and fine now, but it’s related to that. I wouldn’t expect it to alter his availability.

Miami's list was miniscule in comparison to the Pats':

DOLPHINS
Did not participate
TE Anthony Fasano - head

Limited participation
T Jake Long - back
WR Brandon Marshall - knee (listed as DNP yesterday)

Full participation
CB Will Allen - wrist

For what it's worth, this comes on twitter from Shalise Manza-Young:

hearing that despite missing practice LB Brandon Spikes will return tomorrow after missing 6 games with knee injury

Jeff Howe has a completely different take though:
Brandon Spikes Misses Walkthrough, Listed As Questionable For Dolphins Game - NESN.com

Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes did not participate in Friday's walkthrough, which makes it highly likely he won't play Saturday against the Dolphins.

Spikes was one of 14 players listed as questionable. However, the final walkthrough of the week (typically held on Saturdays) mostly serves as a review of the game plan. Since Spikes couldn't participate, it seems like a near certainty that he'll miss his seventh consecutive game with a knee injury.

Tackle Sebastian Vollmer (foot, back) was also absent and did not participate all week. He was listed as doubtful and will likely miss his fourth straight game.
