Wedge Wins Al Manager of Year Award

I must say that I am dissapointed in the fact that Tito did not win it after just winning another World Series.

I'm pretty sure this voting took place before the playoffs as well, just like Cy Young and MVP, no?

So another ring maybe has no bearing on Manager of the Year.

Wedge had as good a record as the Red Sox with 1/3rd the payroll - I have no problem with him getting it

What makes no sense to me is Torre getting some first place votes - yeah, he brought the team back from an awful start - but doesn't he lose points for the awful start?

I like Joe Torre but I just don't see where he's more deserving of votes than Francona.

They should rename it: "Manager who's team had the most wins compared to last year" award.

Wedge was clearly the most deserving. His team has a $55 million payroll, and was under .500 last year.
