The problem last night was not the the RB. Every time they tried to run it in the fourth qaurter there were defenders in the backfield and if the back managed to escape that there was nt much in the way of holes for them to get through. Unless you have a running back with top tier talent (like Taylor) you are not going to have much success in that situation. I can see this thread heading into "Maroney is a bust" territory, but I think he did pretty well last night just by not losing yardage on a lot of his runs. The line needs to do a better job run blocking, its as simple as that.
Let's hope not. BB eluded to it himself that the O-line was in the backfield. This isn't a Maroney thread. We all obviously know that football is the sum of its parts in making a championship caliber team. I would just like to see that Dillon-like part on this team. Let's chew up that clock, let's be physical, let's get that 3rd or fourth down yard or two on the ground in the fourth quarter to finish teams ... like Bru says, that's how you finish...
