"We let the attitude and effort slip away from us" - Matthew Slater

That's um... interesting. I wonder who he was referring to.

Maybe BB himself.

Maybe BB isnt doing enough
Even on the 2009 team we didn't hear players call out the team for attitude and lack of effort. Yeah that's on Bill to fix that. Puts the loss on Sunday in a bit of a different light for me. Hopefully that problem gets corrected soon.

Attitude and effort disappeared right after kickoff.

Definitely looked like they just laid down. They were getting embarrassed at home by a very banged up team who was able to do whatever it wanted. These guys can put out all the videos social media they want and recycle every cliche post game but there definitely seems to be some disinterest out there.

Funny, an astute poster I know here has been saying the team quit...now a player agrees
And the coach quit on the team vs Denver

wish there were fans at the games so they can hear the boos (halloween)

If Slater is saying this, then I believe it to be true. It's not just speculation anymore.

Frankly, anyone who watched the 49ers game would come to the same conclusion. It was obvious.

If you don't want to play, don't play. But don't step on the field and give less than100% effort.

I think it is clear they did not give max effort. Being out physicalled is not generally something that happens to the patriots
