Man ....say what you want about vrabs but he kicked BB’s butt in this draft....he moved up in draft to take certain key skill/high level players and made incredible decisions....Hats off to Vrabel....even got Luke Falk ....while we got the local UPS driver
Some of you need to see a local therapist, obvious agenda

Soon we will get a thread claiming we will go 5-11

Are you old enough to drive?

We acquired good players, so there was no ass kicking by Vrabel.

But can I say that they had a damn good draft? That team looks really good defensively right now. I like them. A lot of former Patriot influence there now.

Looks like it to me but only because it's Saturday, never on Monday...

Why, because Tenn picked big name players that you read about in all of the “experts” mock drafts?

To quote Les Grossman: First, take a big step back… and literally, F#*K YOUR OWN FACE.

OP doesn’t watch college ball, followed mock drafts as of a couple weeks ago, and used a draft tracker today to rank prospects. Cool story bro.

Disregard Post. Had a fire post/pic but this forum doesn’t support it.

Need to get away?

Robinson had a very nice draft. He has improved his team on paper. Clearly his knowledge of the types of players we love served him well, especially with a few calculated trades.

But fortunately for us, games are not played on paper.

I dont understand why people get so hung up on the Evans pick by the Titans.

If the evaluation of Evans had given him a considerably better grade than Wynn or Ragnow then we would have traded up for him and gotten him. The same way the FO made sure to get Dawson at 56.

The reality is that at best Evans was in a cluster of similarly graded players that also included the two linemen (and maybe Michel). The OP says the Titans kicked our ass when in reality they might have traded away draft capital to jump us for no reason whatsoever.

I've watched a lot of tape of Dawson since we drafted him, and he reminds me slightly of Tyrann Mathieu, can play multiple positions

Yup, jumped right in front at 22 and got Evans. They got Landry also. Not bad at all. They knew defense was an issue and drafted to fill needs. Belichick drafted to fill depth at crowded positions and left glaring holes unfilled.

Well, if he turns out as half as well as the guy who was packing groceries prior to the Rams inviting him to their camp, then we'll be just fine.

Seems to me a playing making speedy LB is a desperate need for this team and that is exactly where you spend "draft capital", to fill a glaring need on your team. Wasn't going to cost some big high draft choice to move up one spot. Hmmm, ya think a play
making LB would have made a big difference in last years Super Bowl? Would another OL have done the same?? Or another RB?? Can't ever count on Hightower so skill and speed were/are desperately needed at the LB positions.
The brilliance of Tom Brady has masked MANY mediocre Belichick draft picks/trades over the years but even Brady couldn't overcome that pathetic LB corp/pass rush last February. You know.......that pathetic pass rush and LB corp that Belichick did little to upgrade in this years draft.

That's the front 7. Speedy LBs making a difference is speculation.

Hightower and a 2016 Branch and Malcolm would have made more of a difference

From Draft Wire.....
TENNESSEE TITANS | A

How can a team with four picks end up with this grade? When you're a team that has few glaring needs, and you make bold moves to fill those needs with elite prospects. That's what the Titans did by trading up for both Rashaan Evans and Harold Landry, giving their defense the two missing pieces to the puzzle. I'm still baffled that Landry was on the board in the 40s. Dane Cruikshank is versatile, athletic, and full of potential, and it's hard to argue with taking a statue of a pocket passer with the 199th pick. I'm not saying Luke Falk will be Tom Brady, but hey, the draft slot doesn't hurt.

No you dont. You dont draft for needs. You draft the highest graded players according to your own in house scouting. If those line up with needs then great.

Above all a good DT and a good slot corner would have made the biggest difference. And those were addressed this offseason. Is coverage LB a need ? Yes, like for most teams in this league. Is it a must ? The best coaching staff in the league seems to think that it is not otherwise we would have addressed it with a trade.

The brilliance of TB was masked for the majority of the game against the Jaguars and for about a half also in the game against the Titans. Thankfully we had a defense that kept us in those games despite an at times pathetic offense.

Point being we dont have a great defense but also dont have a pathetic one. It is a highly multiple unit that matches up with certain styles better than others but on average works well enough to win games. And having a unit that flexible gives you results where on your best days you almost pitch a shut out against the Falcons but then when facing an awful matchup you can also get dunked on repeatedly.

You are talking about it as if they were the 2011 team where the offense literally had to carry them through 80% of games which definitely did not happen last year.
