Vegas odds on where Garoppolo will be in 2017

The Jets? I doubt the Pats would deal with the Jets unless they just went over board and gave us an offer we couldn't refuse.

If I ran the Jets and the Patriots were actually willing to trade Jimmy to me, I'd assume that meant they knew something I didn't know, like he's a plague carrier.

I don't know this betting format either. Usually you see a ratio. Maybe some number is assumed, e.g., you have to bet X to win 250, 2500, etc.

However, since the last spot is "The field," I think it's safe to assume that this is a joke.

What do those numbers mean?
A minus before the number means that is the amount of money you need to wager in order to win $100. So to bet on "Field" you need to wager $125 to win $100.

A plus before the number means that is how much money you win from a $100 wager. So if you bet $100 on the Jets, you would win $2,000 if it happened.

So according to these odds, "Field" is the most likely outcome.

Just wondering. Why do you say offshore odds are meaningless?
Because it's just something that some guy at that sportsbook made up for ****s and grins, and not a true amalgam of public opinion.

Furthermore, I use that sportsbook but cannot find that wager anywhere on the site, so it looks like that list is literally something that some guy at BM.eu made up but they aren't even taking any action on it.

It doesnt seem right to me because the field bet is -150. I think the whole thing is ********.

By field, I think they mean any other team not listed.

Chicago has always made the most sense to me.

A coach who has rebuilt his defense over two drafts
A good offensive line so he doesn't get killed
A good to great rb to pair with
A coach who needs to win now or be out of a job
A coach who experienced a rookie (tebow) and acquiring a ready talent (delhomme, manning)
A coach that got to watch JimmyG up close in training camp last year
An angry fan base with a "hometown kid" available.
A GM from eastern Illinois

Cleveland may see themselves as not just a qb away at this point. Same for San Fran. Chicago might see this as a much better option than adding a rookie qb, when they don't have time to wait. In a division with Rodgers, stafford and Bradford/teddyB, you are going to have to be able to move the ball and score points to win that division.

These seem . . . off.

If the Patriots believe Garopollo is really good, he is going to the NFC unless it is Cleveland. Can't believe they would have the Jets, Broncos, and Texans on there. Some NFC teams, besides the Bears (and I didn't realize there is that much smoke on that front) and 49ers, some other teams who could have interest: Washington (if they don't re-sign Cousins, New Orleans (maybe it's time to rebuild and Brees, probably wants to contend a few more years, Minnesota (if Bridgewater's injury is career threatening and they realize Bradford sucks), Arizona (Palmer sucks and this is likely his last year), and LA (because Goff sucks and it's obvious.)

Goff is a rookie barely played and was behind a bad offensive line. I am not saying he will be good but its unfair to say he is a bust at this point.

SF, Chicago.. are the 2 most likely places. I would say Cleveland because they have the most to offer it seems.. but maybe the Browns interest isn't high enough. We have no idea.. I think Cleveland would be dumb not to take a real run at Jimmy with there #12 pick. Getting a top tier player at #1 and then adding in a good possibly great QB at #12, they could be a playoff team next year.

Browns fans don't seem to like or want Garoppolo. Most don't want to give any first for him. Many only willing to give up some 2nds and many just want to draft a qb.

Doesn't matter as that may not be the same stance as their team.

That is what I think the pats are going to get for him. 2 - 2nds and the mingo pick back.
I was hoping to get the 2 2nds and Duke Johnson.

You gotta think Cleveland, Chicago and SF would make the most sense. Cleveland would be dumb to get out bid and not get Jimmy.. but it is Cleveland.

Is RG3 still on Cleveland and how much do they owe him?
I wonder how a bet like this ends up if we deal Jimmy to the Bears and then they, stabbing us in the back, deal him to the Broncos/Jets. Do you win with the Broncos or Jets as your bet, the Bears because he would have arrived their first, or with both the Bears and Broncos or Jets.

It wouldn't surprise me if any trade explicitly prohibited a second trade to an AFCE team, as the Packers did with Favre.
