Varitek Makes Nipper Look Sick.

A few weeks ago, a freind of mine ranted over and over about Nipper. Hated him like some people hate George Bush. I was like...OH MY!!! Are you sure? How can he be that bad?

Well, we all knew that Nipper is a good minor league coach and we also knew that he was here to help lure Clemens.

I figured he was doing an okay job but I must admit, I don't have the time to scrutinze sports like I used to.

With Varitek injured...I think my friend may be right. Sure, Tek is still doing all the clubhouse work...but he's not behind the plate and it shows. The pitchers have lost their BINKY!!!

If in addition to being a great catcher Varitek is also a great Binky...and if that Binky was holding us together and not all the planning and charts the Red Sox so love...we are dearly in trouble.

I liked when Becket gave up 17 hits in a row and Nipper didn't even think about going to the mound to settle him down. Nice coaching, Nip.
