I didnt have enough posts (30) to post a thread in here. Now that I do I can post this from earlier this week.....

Director of basketball operations Danny Ainge announced before the season-opening tipoff against the Cavaliers, “Yes, we’ll suspend Glen for the game tonight and tomorrow night, and we’ll have further discussion on how long that suspension (will last).”

Ainge added that he expects Davis to miss six weeks after having surgery yesterday on his fractured right thumb.

Celtics suspend Glen Davis for fight - BostonHerald.com

What do you guys think about this? I loved the way Glen Davis played in the playoffs last year and he has probably become my favorite player. At the sametime he needs to realize that he needs to be on his toes all the time.

This loss shouldnt hurt us. We have enough talent to win (We are 2-0 without him).

I thought they would just fine him but perhaps a fine is harder to pull off than a suspension in terms of amount of money? I don't think he should be punished too much. He should be punsihed more for being in a car with people drinking as opposed to the thumb. He needs to mature quickly. I suggest he trades in that girlfriend for one who does not drink would be a good start.

Yeah I just saw it on ESPN during the game.

Heres the ROTO post....

Glen Davis (thumb) said in an interview on Friday that he will not be suspended by the Celtics after injuring himself in a fight.
