Actually, I have on several occasions, both in this incarnation and others here. Once, at the very beginning of Spygate (and I mean the very beginning) I was banned for asking "Is anyone here concerned about this?" meaning the NYT story in which Walsh first made his accusations. That's literally all I said and was permanently banned--so you'll have to excuse me if I think there are some thin skins around here. Funny thing is I was truly curious as to whether folks were concerned (in my opinion they should have been). It has admittedly gotten better since then, so my bans have been temporary in this incarnation, but back in Jan./Feb. this year simply voicing anything that was not orthodoxy was seen as heretical and ban-worthy. I also must say that you're the only board I've seen that has a "Visitors' Locker Room"--that might tell you all you need to know about tolerance of different views here.....
Well, what do you want from us? The entire sports world was acting like what the Patriots had done was something new and unknown in the civilized world. Banhammers of course are going to be abound, because we as Patriot fans didn't want to even look at our message board and see the bashing.
What still puzzles me is why you come here. I mean, personally, I have come to kind of like you and do a little back and forth, because I think we have that kind of fun banter. But how can you be suprised when people get irritated when you point out how it's ok for others to do things, but if the Pats do it we deserve the national scorn.
I didn't go to a Bills board and make a username "Lynch Runs Over Women Because He Is Scum" or "Buffalo Only Has An Appleby's To Hang At". And if I did, I would be banned. If I went to a Colts board and started talking about Marvin Harrison and his affinity for guns, it would be the same thing.
I just don't get it, FF. Please, tell me why we are supposed to deal with every troll and mouthbreather who has internet access and hates the Pats.
