Here is my realistic dream draft:

Trades:

1. NE trades picks #22 and #53 (1150) to Pittsburgh for #18, #82 and #151 (1142). Pittsburgh drafts M. Pouncey at 22 and has another 2nd rounder to address their CB and WR needs

2. NE trades pick #44 (460) to Arizona for pick #58 and #89 (465) (Arizona has 2 3rd rounders)

ROUND 1
Pick # 18 Brandon Graham DE/OLB Michigan BB trades up for this pick to move ahead of Atlanta who covets Graham at 19.

ROUND 2
Pick # 44 TRADED to Arizona - BB plays the draft board like a Stratovarius

Pick # 47 Golden Tate WR Notre Dame (I'd be happy with Eric Decker, Taylor Price or Damian Williams here too)

Pick # 58 Arthur Jones DT Syracuse (assume Tyson Alualu is off the board at this point. Jones may be the better player in the Pats scheme).

ROUND 3
Pick # 82 Dennis Pitta TE BYU - Very good pass catcher, route runner is good in traffic.

Pick # 89 Daniel T'eo Nesheim DE/OLB Washington High motor high intensity

ROUND 4
Pick # 119 Deji Karim RB Southern Illinois Sleeper? (I assume Ben Tate is off the board at this point.)

ROUND 5
Pick #151 Mitch Petrus OG Arkansas

ROUND 6
Pick # 190 Scott Long WR Louisville

Pick # 205 Nate Byham TE Pittsburgh Best blocking TE in the draft

ROUND 7

Pick #229 Ed Wang OT VT
Pick #231 Matt Dodge P E. Carolina
Pick #247 Vince Oghobase DT Duke
Pick #248 Zac Robinson QB Oklahoma ST
Pick #250 Crezdon Butler CB Clemson (I know nothing about this guy)

I like this draft but Tate at 44 is unlikely.

nicely done! Can't find a single questionable pick

Nitpicky, since I'm talking 7th-rounders/PFAs here, but sub Worthington for Oghobase, Kafka for Robinson and Seyi Ajirotutu for Crezdon Butler and you've got my vote.

nice mock- I'm getting excited for tomorrow.

I really like this mock. Good job...

First, nice effort, I like the trades! Realistic, and we get both up into the top 20 and back to pick up those 3rd rounders. Of course most of the guys you picked wont be there, Tate in particular. But great effort.

Not to shabby, trades seem to work too
we all know we're gonna be wheeling and dealing
it's why we literally have to sit there on the couch for the entire thing (who am I kidding I'd be sitting there from Bradford to Mr Irrelevant regardless....OMG I'M SO EXCITED IT'S ALMOST HERE...IT'S LIKE HANNUKAH IN APRIL!!!!)

Well maybe you can consider it a late passover or early Shavuot

I wouldn't be upset with this draft. Graham and Tate would be sick!

Nice thoughts and draw up of the draft

I hope you hit on a few...Not crazy about Graham, but its a fine overall job

Unlikely to be drafted or unlikely to be on the board?

I've read some reports that some scouts have him as a mid-rounder.

Very well done. I wouldn't take Pitta in the 3rd, but most people here like him more than I do, so I may be in the minority there. I also think Oghobaase in the 7th is a steal. Don't let the underwear Olympics fool you, he can play.

Like it. Good job. My only thought would be with two thrid round picks that the Pats would pick up Ben Tate, RB, Auburn, if available.

If Tate's available in the 3rd, I wouldn't mind using a pick on him. Pitta and DTN are my binkees so I couldn't pass them up in Round 3.

Who do you like at TE?

Nice--it would be hard to complain about this too much. I'll take your word for it on Jones over Alualu. DT is the most important position we draft for this year IMO. (Personally I want Suh, but know it won't happen).

I like Graham, but that's high to take a conversion, and I actually think we might have have less depth and greater need at ILB than OLB

And I like Damian Williams a lot better than Tate, but when was the last time Belichick drafted a Pete Carroll product? :ugh:

Assuming AD is gone, we have exactly one quasi-starting OLB.

Assuming AD is gone, we have exactly one quasi-starting OLB.

"Quasi-starters" is right , and I keep forgetting that Burgess (who I think BB saw as a conversion) might be gone, but:

OLB:
Woods
Ninkovich
TBC
Crabel (I know.....but they say he's healthy)

ILB:
Mayo--coming off injury
Guyton--weak against the run
McKenzie--coming off injury

Plus it just seems that BB doesn't like drafting and developing OLBs that much.
