Half of his tackles were in the backfield - impressive stat.
With his seven sacks, he certainly proved he can get through the offensive line.
He sure seems like more of a 4-3 one-gap interior lineman.
Not sure how easy he could convert to a two-gap system.
He's slower and shorter than you would optimally like at 3-4 end, and lighter than you would like at NT.
He should provide a 4-3 team more value.
Seems to me that BB ran a fairly significant percentage of 4-3, one-gap sub-packages in '09. I think it's merely being open-minded to consider that, in 2010, the percentage of those might even increase a bit. In which case, Price, or someone like him, might be a decent fit and BB is merely performing due diligence..
Having said that, I doubt that BB goes for a DT in the 2nd round again this year or needs to, regardless of the scheme. There are probably a couple Pryor-like gems available in later rounds.

I don't think we'll end up taking him but I'm sure Belichick is looking for pass rush, even if it's not from "a starter". There's tons of passing downs that a guy like Price could get in on even if he's not out there the first snap of the game. Equivalent, but opposite, to Wilfork getting a big extension despite being on the sidelines for a lot of passing plays. We need pass rushing LB but pass rushing DL for those 3rd and 6s would be awfully nice too.
