* Good: Right now, Gostkowski is one PAT shy of having a 3:1 ratio of PATs to FG attempts for the season.

The only other kicker at even 2:1 is Phil Dawson of Cleveland.

* Not so good: On the other end of the offensive aptitude scale is Matt Stover of Baltimore, who has 21 FG attempts versus just 8 PATs.

Seriously, though, I don't think any Pats rookie has ever had to do what Gostkowski did (replace a legend who turned heel, so to speak). Combine that with an innate numerical wonkiness, and you see the results.

Speaking of Gotti, after that rough start last year (mostly off crap field) he is now 30-33 combining this year and most of last year.
