I apologize if this has already been posted, but I didn't see it.
If you browse around the site I'm pretty sure they ranked DT's last week and Wilfork was pretty high up as well.

As for the ends, justifiably they have high praise for Seymour and Warren. I was a little surprised that they were kinda high on Green as well though. I think that's what we call praiseworthy by association.

No, the Panthers arent on the list. It's an AFC list, and I just double checked and the author didn't accidently list them.

aaaaaaaahererrwqeqwkeqwkeqwme

my bad guys..thats 2 times recently that i made a mistake of forgetting the list is only AFC . sorrrrrrry

For some reason they decided to do the NFC and AFC separately.
Here is the NFC list:

Yup, here's the Panthers:
"2. Panthers. Julius Peppers is an elite pass rusher in his prime. Mike Rucker is coming off a major knee injury, which could mean significant early-season playing time for Charles Johnson and Stanley McClover"

I liked Stanley McClover when he was coming out last year.

Yeah we were the best until Kevin Carter was released, but I think it was a good team move to cut cap space and get Matt Roth in the lineup.

Well, first of all, I had somewhat of a problem with this list to begin with. Its hard to determine who are the "best" ends in the game in a general sense. Ends have different responsibilities in different schemes on different teams. Castillo and Olshanksky are more space eaters than anything else in the SD 3-4 scheme. They just allow the linebackers to make the plays block free. Seymour and Warren do that to an extent, but I think they have more pass rushing responsibilities. Then, you have 4-3 speed ends who are strictly for rushing the qb.

For the Dolphins, Taylor and Carter were/are there to pass rush the qb mainly. For this purpose(yes taylor is a great player but..) I would rather have freeney and mathis than taylor/carter. When you had Carter, he was no longer in his prime.
I'm also going to say that Warren and Seymour are better than Taylor/Carter because they do more for their team and make more of an impact overall. NE's entire defense is based on dominant defensive lineman.

Basically, what I'm saying is Taylor/Carter were good, but I would still have them ranked 3rd at best.

Good point about ends having differnt responsibilities. I would say Taylor and Carter were easily the best pass rushing ends in football but they were not the best at taking up space and stopping the run. But I do disagree with your last sentence, I'd say they were number 1.

I like my mock draft for the Fins better than the Fins actual draft. I picked up Tim Crowder in the 3rd round for em. I thought that DE was a need for the Fins. Matt Roth is a name that hardly inspires confidence. He really needs to step up this year if you guys expect him to start. Expect Jason Taylor to see even more double teams until Roth can actually cause teams to respect him.

I believe you have the roles of Sey and Ty reversed with the SD duo. San Diego runs a one-gap penetrating 3-4 with Jamal Williams tasked as the stay home and stuff the run guy. Part of the reason Merri-boot and Phillips are able to get to the QB so much is the penetration created by Castillo and Olshansky drawing the OL to the interior threat, leaving the TE or RB to handle the outside rusher. Castillo gave Neal fits in the playoffs because Kaczur was staying home to handle the OLBs and Neal still struggles in his pass blocking if left one-on-one - by keeping Light and Kac outside, Merri-boot could only dance on a throw-away. Sey and Ty are good pass rushers, but in traditional non-passing situations their first read is run if you watch them in slow-mo off the Tivo, they only pin their ears back when it's pass or die time for the offense.

Well we got the 2nd best receiver in the draft, 3rd best QB in the draft, and the 2nd best center so I think that's okay.

Matt Roth is the main reason we let go of Kevin Carter. He has shown strides in each game and I have confidence that he can make for a valuable starter at DE. We just drafted him 2 years ago and he was always behind 2 pretty good players, why do you say he's no good?

I thought Meachem went to New Orleans?

Yeah he did, weird how that many teams passed on him huh? Houston was going to take Ginn at number 10 so he was coveted by other teams as well. Keep dumping on Ginn, I can't wait till he burns the Pats.

You do realize that this doesn't make the Ginn pick look any better. They drafted the guy wanted by a team whose history to date is one full of getting and wasting high draft picks. Did Matt Millen like him too?

You can't build a team around a punter and fragile WR. You get flash and no substance. QB and DL. If you have a high draft pick, go QB or DL, or someone to replace Taylor, who is one of the oldest DEs in the league. QB and DL. That's how to win more games.

Ginn will be flashy and will make some nice returns and it will affect games about as much As Hester affected the superbowl.

You would have been better of with Quinn or someone for the DL.

Even when KC had Dante Hall, they didn't do so good.

But if you keep score by fantasy points, he was a great pick.

I was so upset, screaming at my TV when Quinn fell to the Dolphins. Man, I was bummed. Then they screwed it up and I was so so happy. I will never forget this draft. It is even better than you giving up two firsts for Ricky.
