Pop looks good
Yup, I still like him as a coach and a scout. IIRC, he was the one who lobbied for Pop during the draft and in Spring Training I saw him spending most of his time with Pop.

You cannot blame Troy Brown lack of inherent talent that he had to work with.

But you can blame him first the lack of development.

Any update on his situation? He's not listed on the Patriots Coaching Staff web page. But then, neither is Slate.

On another note, does Tyquan Underwood still have the Kid from Kid and Play haircut or is that just an old picture from his playing days?

Still does. This is from rookie minicamp:

I've said numerous times that TB80 should be a Returners/SlotWR coach, so I'm psyched he's back on the team in this current role, which I think is perfect for him. Resume includes 2 1st team All Pro returners (Gunnar/MarcusJ), Jakobi, and Pop.

You cannot coach speed. No matter how good the coaching is, if your WRs have cement shoes, they are never going to get open.
You can also have a guy with all the speed in the world but can't catch or get open. Somewhere coaching has to come into the equation.

Agreed. But consider Mathew Slater; he was the fastest guy on the team, but could not get open in the passing game inspite of various coaches so I still love Troy Brown. You should have seen him working owth Pop at camp; very inspirational.
