Flores joined Pats in '04 as scouting asst and coaching staff in 08-18 while Vrabel was here 01-08, so 04-08 overlapped with one year as coach/player.

Agree. They don't need the space but you certainly don't want cap space used or paying a player $5m to be on the roster that shouldn't be.

Your right. But on KB he got his contract last season. As did rham, Dugger, ownenu. Under Vrabel this team just is so much more prepared, organized and most or all guys are hungry to win. Diggs, pop and Boutte are the top 3 WR's. With Williams and Hollins also factoring in at wr. KB had definitely had a quiet camp. Vrabel may elect to keep baker who's had a nice camp over him.

Thats a bit of a red herring. They are currently as constructed to be 20 million OVER the cap next season. So that is a fake number. They need to shed to be cap compliant next season.
