Rookie Kyle Williams says hello.

Uh,Williams says hello
I corrected my oversight a few posts later.

3 Also I don't put a lot of value of who is running with the ones or twos. Today's moves at RT show just how arbitrary that is. Sometimes coaches want to see how certain combinations work.
I'm not feeling great about what's happening at RT, where we have a starter who they've got on a pitch count and two backups who aren't looking very good right now.

The 5'10" guy has more upside than the 6'4" guy?

I wonder why Maye has hardly worked with Hollins but is targeting him a lot. What could be the reason? Let's consider the obvious reason! Maybe it could have something to do with, wait for it, catch radius?
A Guy who's been a 300yds average a year: now suddenly have Elite Catch radius?? Go see what Steve Smith said about Baker Pre Draft and come back.

Hot takes even though I wasn't there, but I did read the thread.

1 Good to hear about Dobbs. Looks like we have a solid back up and you NEED one because these days they all seem to end up starting a game or more.

2. Of course I love all the good posts about the offense. But I would point out that usually in these joint practices teams use very vanilla defenses and of course they aren't game planned, so the offense usually has the edge. So while I'm happy with the results, this offense has a LONG way to go.

4. I'm hoping some of the Campbell nonsense starts to erode some with his performance today. Looking good, not perfect like some people demand, but good overall.

5. I have mixed emotions about Wilson at LG. I'm happy he is performing well, but quite frankly if he really is THAT good an OLman, I'd rather him be playing C just because a great C is more valuable than a great G.

6. Maybe the Commanders' WRs suck, but without our 2 starters at CB, the back ups held up pretty well.

7. Good to hear a few Landry flashes.

8. And finally - I guess I can assume that they didn't do any running after practice.

BTW- The reports on Vrabel's pile on, and blood on his face put a BIG smile on my face. I can relate to that one.
Hopefully so, but I’m afraid that unless Campbell is Orlando Pace from game 1 those people are still gonna *****.

Chism may secure his position via STs, and can work his way in from there. I know he's an UDFA, but his particular skill set, and Josh McDaniels playbook are quite compatible.
That's probably the key. Still, that would mean there's 7 on the roster.

Have they ever carried 7 before? Even when Slate was strictly STs?

Ultimately Jared Wilson takes over at center.

Need some LG candidates to step up.
I think we'd be seeing him there more in camp if that was the plan. I think he's locked in at LG.

Kind of is what it is. Keep those knees healthy now so he's there during the season.

Thought I read they gave Lowe some reps at RT yesterday so maybe he winds up a swing tackle.

Maybe, but he was back at LT with the third string today. It's hard to tell what they think of him.

They cannot afford to give away even a decent young receiver at this point. Baker has shown enough in camp so far, so Bourne gets traded, Chism to PS and Polk is a second rounder from last year. You keep or trade.

Campbell was the 4th overall pick and the 1st in a stacked OT draft. I think if he isn't at least as good as Matt Light the pick was a huge fail.
Not stacked. Thin.

Let's not start spinning the 2025 draft. There was zero consensus after Simmons injury, and Campbell looked to be the least risky pick. Every other pick came with question marks and none were considered day 1 NFL starters and future all-pro/pro-bowlers.

Does Chism get claimed if they put him on PS?
