I would really hate to say goodbye to Dugger. But he gone next year so they might.
Why do you think Dugger is gone? I think that the Pats will sign him to a good extension. Probably top 10 in money..

I’d move Mac to the Vikes for picks.
What’s the likelihood that Mac can learn their offense and be productive in it in time for them to still make a playoff push? That seems like a tough situation. At least they are a dome team, so his arm strength issues are lessened.

What about Jaren Hall (Vikings rookie backup QB) + a 4th? Not sure how the Vikings feel about moving him.

Reading his scouting report Hall looks like a QB project with quite a bit of upside. Only 6'0 and seems raw but I'm sure he can be coached up. He's also a dual threat. Backed up Zach Wilson at BYU. Switch Mac for Hall and Hall is probably already the best QB on the Patriots roster lol.

I think some team is going to offer more. Hope you're right though.

Sadly, I feel Uche is the only player the Pats MIGHT be able to get meaningful comp for.

And by meaningful, I mean a lower 4th.

Just don’t see any players other teams would give anything for outside Brown whom I don’t think they really can trade and put a real NFL line out there.

The Seahawks are one of Uche’s better scheme fits, if they are really going all in on the remainder of this season. Kinda similar to when Bruce Irvin played on the edge for them.

If true this will probably close the door on Mac in Minnesota.

You can't be serious I can name four QB's in College right now that I would confidently take over Mac and it's not even close.
Coaching egos make them think they can “fix” players all the time. Just look at how many shots low talent Tebow got. If Mac got cut, he’d get a shot somewhere else, it’s just how the NFL works.

Looks like the potential Winston deal could make this all moot but Mac’s not a slow learner, he’s been hampered by really bad scheme (last year) and inadequate weapons/bad OL play this year.

This account has been repeatedly confirmed to be BS.
Thanks. I wondered if it was another "Eric Shun" troll account. Still if BB has a Mac trade idea in mind hope he's already talking to Min.

with the 49ers rams and cardinals struggling it makes sense for seattle imo. Even if they don't win their division the nfc besides the eagles isn't that hard. Lion, 49ers, Cowboys can be beaten by seattle as they already did win in detroit

If this goes through we'll see the first ever NFL contract to include a guaranteed amount of crab legs per month.

I love Dugger as much as anyone but he is definitely overvalued by some people here.
That said, let’s not forget Bill spent a top pick on him and he obviously values him more than some others think. He’s getting paid here. No doubt about it.

Just a note: while we have a ton of cap space, Free Agency is VERY slim pickings next spring. And NE is not exactly a preferred destination. Sure money talks but this ain’t an open vault. If anything, if Bill is still here, he may sign a couple of $$ guys and THEN offer up some trades (WR anyone?) using 2025 picks and beyond. This 2024 draft will likely be more important than 2023.
