Its closer to BBs best defense than his average.
We are allowing only 16.3 ppg. That works out to 261, which is only about a point and a half above the franchise record. AND, we still have cold weather games, we have played pretty much every good offense on the schedule. With Buff, Miami, Jets, Balt, Pitt, Philly, and the giants left, the offenses left on our schedule are not nearly as good as the ones we have faced.
It is not AT ALL beyond reason that we could break the franchise points allowed record.

Oh, and we just held the Colts to 20 in Indy, which BB defense did better than that?

I'm not the one saying the D is average, just that it's not the Belichick D of a few years ago. How can it be, the same players were younger and faster then and they're older and slower now.

They are still a very good defense, and with the kind of offense they have now, that's all they need to be. They came up big against Indy in some key spots.

Jackson has lost any shred of objectivity he had left and I would imagine that he will be told to cut it out. He is the only person (singular) on the planet, including Colts' fans, that would say that was an average defense. The stats don't bear that out, the "eyeball test" doesn't point you that way, nothing.

Catering to Patriot haters is not a good marketing strategy. People will start to tune out ESPN if their lead analysts are so blinded by personal bias that they start to insult people's intelligence.

1) An earlier poster indicated that he only watched MNC for Parcells and Keyshawn. I also have two reasons but they would be Parcells and Berman.

3) This is coming from someone who is a bitter boy. He keeps referring to himself proudly, time and time again as 'old school', like it is some kind of trophy. Well guess what Tommy boy, this is new school, this team is new school, they are that way cause of the coach that all their players hate.

Tom, one of these days you are gonna get it. Reach down and pull your socks up into today. We have a system and a coach that are proven successful.

I wonder what he has to say about the Colts' offense if it can't score more than 20 at home when they're jacked up - against an average defense? That makes no sense.

The D had moments where it was not able to stop Adai but surely Jackson knows that they gave up the run to shut down Manning and Clark.
