Tom Izzo: "I feel like the New York Jets"

Michigan State coach Tom Izzo, after getting destroyed by Syracuse:

"Our guys inside weren't covering anybody and that's solely on me. If the team doesn't play hard enough and is tough enough that's the coach's fault and we'll fix that. I feel like the New York Jets."

Terrible game by the Spartans last night, Izzo loves to test the team early though. They've done more traveling this season than some NBA teams.

Okay, first of all, I saw the headline and thought, "What's he talking about, I thought he still played for them." (I.e. I was thinking of LARRY Izzo.)

That's cute though. Last year when my brother and his family were over here for Thanksgiving, I watched the Pats-Jets game with them, and I was telling my little niece, "Remember, we like green and white when it's the Spartans, but we HATE green and white when it's the Jets!"
