I find Tom Curren's honesty refreshing but I also find Steve Burton's assessment of Curran and similar media elites even more refreshing.
These professional jock sniffs actually think they're above other people in any way????

I heard that, too, and honestly my take was that Curren was offering that observation as a negative criticism of the media members who do that. In other words, he didn't feel that way himself. In fact, he clarified his intent several times after making the original comment.
